No 10/20K ranked pieces?

Hi all,

Just wondering why these pieces are absent for the BikeErg?

Whilst I note that 30/60 min events are available, for those of us who prefer distance-based workouts you go from a short 4K to a lengthy 40K with nothing in between.

Thoughts?

I agree. It's odd that they doubled the erg 2K but have not seen fit to add doubles of the 5K and 10K erg rankings. I find the inclusion of the 40K strange as it corresponds to nothing in the C2 world. It's only relevance is that is the Olympic distance triathlon bike leg distance.

I'm happy to have 40K as a rank-able event. Didn't realise it was the Olympic triathlon distance, but with that in mind it makes sense to me and timewise seems a close match to the HM on the RowErg. I'm not up on cycling distances so not sure if I'm missing something, but having nothing in between 4K and 40K is pretty frustrating.

The RowErg and SkiErg both have 14 rank-able pieces but the BikeErg only 9, so it's not as the 10K/20K slots are taken with other events.

There are only 9 Bikeerg events, compared to 14 for the ski and row ergs.
Of the 9 events, only 2 of them are in between 2 minutes and an hour, the 4k and 30 minutes.

Last July, I requested C2 to add the 2k, 10k and 20k and received the following reply.

There is considerable interest in the categories that you are requesting, so it is likely
that we will add them in the near future. However, I don't have a timeline on when that will be.

It would probably be helpful to send more requests to them, so they will be aware of the interest.

10k and 20k will be added to the Rankings in the near future. Due to the way the BikeErg works, it requires changes to the firmware to allow for the verification calibration to be run.

This change is in the current beta release of firmware. Once it's in the public release, we'll add them to the Rankings.
