@Stu: I think I got ya by a few meters
Hahaha, I think you did. I'm not sure of my 30r20 PB but it is something very similar.

I'll have to watch my back...with you looking very like you're going to break 8200m and Keith coming on far too strong on the FM I need to up my game!

Most importantly, really solid result mate. This is great progress
Thank you mate :)
Still a long way to get close to your distance PBs, and with your current fitness you'll improve many (or all) of them soon. I'm curious to see if Keith hits your FM PB, you should propably do your TT as soon as possible

30R20 PB - 8088m (+78m) :D

What a crazy training day! This 30R20 was planned as a preparation for the 30' TT this weekend, I did 60' bike in the morning and >100min UT2 work yesterday, so legs were not really rested.
After the first couple of minutes I recognized I'm in good form and thought about a 30R20 PB by a few meters. Around half time I thought I could go for a free rate PB but decided not to do, and ended pretty close to my free rate PB with R20!

Now I'm super curious what result I'll get this weekend, looks like I can go for 8200+ :D

@Stu: I think I got ya by a few meters

Wow, you're becoming a real PB machine too now! This is a real strong R20 :D still low on the heart rate too, amazing!
Thank you! Of course not even close to your effort but a great jump in the right direction :) When will we see a new PB from you?

Great session - love those unexpected and unplanned PB efforts. Anxious to see what you will do for free rate and some rest perhaps before.
Thank you Keith, it was really unexpected, a big confidence boost for the free rate TT :)

 Thank you Alex, I#m super happy with this effort, and I needed exactly 606 strokes, it counts!
Good luck for your TT tomorrow, it's not a question IF you get a new PB, only how much faster you'll be!

Don't compare to others Martin, how you progress towards your own goals is what matters ;)
Today I almost could not get out of bed, felt like I had been inside the washing machine while it went through a washing cycle. Sunday and Monday I did long ergs, and yesterday went for a 2.5 hour running trip in the mountain. Needless to say, my body was not ready for it :D
Not sure when my next PB will be done, I fully expect that I will have to start grinding hard(gradually increasing volume to build the aerobic base more) to push out more PB's now(except for the 6k). Think I have come to a level with most of my PB's now that easy progression is over. 1k, 2k, 5k and 10k PB's have been hard to get. I am still only averaging about 50k/week, so I know how to proceed once progression stops, will just have to do it in a controlled manner.

Ouch, no wonder you were totally wasted :)
I expect you still have some "easy" gains in you as you only have done a couple of 100k in total, but of course it's getting harder and harder. And your 16k 1h shouldn't be too hard to improve as long as your butt can stand it

To put some numbers into the equation here, both my 30R20 and 30 free rate are quite fresh, and the difference in splits was 2.8 seconds. But I am also looking forward to seeing what Martin can do free rate, should be a good improvement from his current PB B) On a good day we will see 8300+ :P

Thats still a small difference. But both you guys are relative strong, so that would help r20 stuff. I myself was around 3/4 seconds differnce. 20/27 ish rate wise.

No way I can get close to 3'' faster, 1-1,5'' would be great (>8200m). My bottleneck is aerobic fitness :)

Maybe you should invest in higher rating long distance a bit?
