Finally done it! :o

After all the build up it really didn't feel too bad as I held a steady 1:52.6 for 40 minutes then picked it up gradually in the last 20 minutes.

Now onwards to the HM....and then the FM....... :?

Threw down a PB tonight in the 30 minute for the Spring Series. Knew going in if I hit 6k with 4 minutes left I’d have a shot at 7k with a good sprint. Feels like this is a big milestone for me. Between seeing pics of myself on this day last year (right before I ordered the erg) compared to myself now, and this PB tonight, I’m feeling pretty good about myself.

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
30:00.0 7,010m 2:08.3 165 869 25
6:00.0 1,362m 2:12.1 152 821 26

Nice work. I always find a 30' fast piece very daunting. With such a strong negative split, it looks like you'll beat this again soon as your confidence improves.

Thanks guys! There were some times in there I contemplated a HD but didn't want to waste the groundwork that had been laid. I very much felt it when finished and it took me a good 5-6 minutes to be able to get up off the erg.

30R20 PB - 8088m (+78m) :D

What a crazy training day! This 30R20 was planned as a preparation for the 30' TT this weekend, I did 60' bike in the morning and >100min UT2 work yesterday, so legs were not really rested.
After the first couple of minutes I recognized I'm in good form and thought about a 30R20 PB by a few meters. Around half time I thought I could go for a free rate PB but decided not to do, and ended pretty close to my free rate PB with R20!

Now I'm super curious what result I'll get this weekend, looks like I can go for 8200+ :D

@Stu: I think I got ya by a few meters

Hahaha, I think you did. I'm not sure of my 30r20 PB but it is something very similar.

I'll have to watch my back...with you looking very like you're going to break 8200m and Keith coming on far too strong on the FM I need to up my game!

Most importantly, really solid result mate. This is great progress
