Thanks Alex, looks like we both will hit a 10k milestone soonwinniewinser wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 3:15 pmAnother great performance MartinMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 7:11 am10k PB - 37:05,2 - -17''
I almost decided to take a rest day today but thought I need some preparation for the 30' challenge next week. The plan was to go sub 37:15, but it was easier than expected, now I'm a bit dissappointed that I didn't go a bit faster for the first 8k and get sub37. Nevertheless I'm happy with a new PB and some extra confidence for the coming 30'. On a good day I should get >8150, hopefully close to 8200.

Thanks Dino, sub37 next!
Wise decision, 500m with an aggravated back is no fun, and you're in such great shape atm, no need to risk an injury!Dangerscouse wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 3:53 pmHaha, sorry mate, and to be fair 17 seconds is a lot more impressive.MartinSH4321 wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 1:54 pmThank you very much fellas! Next time I'll get the sub37 milestone![]()
@ Stu:
Yeah the UT2 work helps a lot, and the bikeerg prevents me from a tightened back and forearms. I'll always be a better sprinter, but my long stuff confidence is getting better and betterNext week I'll go for a new 30' PB but I'll give it another go soon! And it was 17 secs faster

Have you done the 500m?
No, I have had to avoid the 500 as my back is slightly aggravated and there isn't many worse ideas than trying to thrash my way through a 500m PB. Hopefully will be manageable tomorrow but I need to take it easier for a few days
Trouble is mine was so painful that I now don't want to go near it againMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑April 20th, 2020, 1:08 amThanks Alex, looks like we both will hit a 10k milestone soonwinniewinser wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 3:15 pmAnother great performance MartinMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑April 19th, 2020, 7:11 am10k PB - 37:05,2 - -17''

SPM..................30
New British Record (and an all time PB) in the 60-69 Lightweight Category and only the 3rd person in this category ever to go over 16k.![]()
Finally done it!![]()
After all the build up it really didn't feel too bad as I held a steady 1:52.6 for 40 minutes then picked it up gradually in the last 20 minutes.
Now onwards to the HM....and then the FM.......![]()
