Agree with both (I have been rowing on the erg 10+ years but never in a real boat)!BigBrett58 wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 3:21 pmMine was brutal as well. Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I'm a little confused. I was Woman's Boat #1 last week, and rowed my 6,000m this morning, but upon looking at the posts in the forum didn't see my 6,000 get recognized in the listing. So I went back to the Challenges page and found this:
"You are not currently selected for a boat. Your team captain will need to add you. Your captain might not finalise boat selection until after all athlete scores are submitted."
Did I fall out of the boat, or voted off of the island?

Jodi - You’re in a boat! I tried to explain that I couldn’t move people around to fill boats unless I emptied the boat. The boats are still there and your results are still there. I just need to wait to fill the boat. Right now we have 22 people who are eligible. We need at least two more to have three boats - can’t have a partial boat.
When I first created boats, I put people in them. Now, some boats have 3/8 with results, and others have 2/8 and so on. I want to put all the people on boats so now everyone is on the loading dock, ready to get into the boats!
No one voted off the island !

Hear, hear, from me also. I first got my Erg to help recover from a hamstring injury in 2008 - and whilst travel and other factors have taken me off the Erg from time-to-time the camaraderie of team Luna-tics is fantastic.andreacs wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 3:39 pmAgree with both (I have been rowing on the erg 10+ years but never in a real boat)!BigBrett58 wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 3:21 pmMine was brutal as well. And a big call-out to Kona for all the work she does in promoting the team. The virtual boat is a great idea and has spurred me on to improve my times which are well off best times - but that is the whole idea of these challenges, be active and improve where you can...Cheers Baz

He's A Meter Multi-Millionaire !! AGAIN !!
Whoop, whoop, and why not a fiver! Congratulations, Warnie, on achieving a FIVE million meter erging season! Way to cap a year of change! We wish you many, MANY more milestones and celebrations!!
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I just put one in. That was just the motivation I've been needing to get in a hard workout. Good Times!Kona2 wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 3:10 pmOk - turns out that I have to trust the process. Everything is working as it should be - none of the workouts have to be ranked. A lot of teammates have completed workouts of 6K today and yesterday! We have 22 who are eligible for boats. I had to empty the boats, and rename them in order to populate them. Otherwise, I had two in one boat, three in another, etc., and that wasn't adding up to a full boat. We have to have 8 rowers to fill the boat. So. I need at least two more. There are ten women rowers, and 12 guys. I can have one guys boat and one gals boat and one mixed boat, currently. We have a few days to get this completed. I was making this far too complicated !
Need two more 6 K results !!

Good work, Lunies! 8 days to go in the World Erg Challenge~!
Welcome to new teammate Carol M! We wish you much good camaraderie and many celebrations!!
Day 8 of 15 !!
Cranking up the meters, day by day! At the end of today's contribution, you will have earned 36 K if you're doing the minimums!
And now, what you've been waiting for...more Spring Series news!!
KEEP putting in those 6 K results....more results means more boats!! Yes, you have to imagine the roaring crowd as we pull towards the finish line...but this is the way...of the virtual world!
I'm waiting to put our first boat in the water - overnight there were some amazing efforts put forth by our teammates, and that just makes us even more competitive. Can't wait for everyone to see LUNATICS - MERCURY in the virtual waters of the Spring Challenge....and then there's LUNATICS - APOLLO and LUNATICS - EAGLE....you get where we're going with the theme. We're only three days into the first round of the Challenge...

Re: He's A Meter Multi-Millionaire !! AGAIN !!
Why thank you very much, been a tough year. Delighted though that I have reached 5 million for the first time in a season - just!! Really hoping to mix it up with the other forms next season.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Had a hard failure at a 6k PR last night. It fell apart with ~3 minutes left. I'll give this another go on Thursday night with hopefully better results.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Whoa - Zach! We need that . That’s a podium piece.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I am impressed (not just at the pace) that you are going to give it another go, from the graph it seems you were on track until the last 300 meters, not last 3 minutes...
I can only imaging the pain that goes with it. Well, actually expect to feel the same tomorrow, when I give it a serious try. I'm confident of getting a PB for once, it is a distance I have not tried until this week .
For those in Australia, if 3 competitions at once is not enough for you, yesterday I got invited to try out https://rowingaustralia.com.au/2020/04/ ... e-regatta/ for an opportunity to use your metres to support your State.
Go Victoria!

So many indoor rowing challenges this spring - people aren't spoiled for choice that's for sure. Good luck on your 6k! Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I wasn't aware that there was a 6,000m ranking so have never tried specifically for that distance row before yesterday. The problem with this fact is that I find that I'm a bit competitive (usually against myself, but sometimes I check out the rankings of others with my same age, weight class and such) and with that in mind I looked at the rankings for other women who rowed and ranked the 6,000m distance. I was dismayed to find that I was #10 of 11 in the U.S. and #23 of 27 for women my age in the world who have ranked a 6,000m row. With that said I just know that I'm going to have to improve on the time that I posted yesterday.
My husband would say, "That's great! You're #10 in the U.S.!" But I would have to point out that there's only 11 of us competing.
Ah, the joy of owning a rowing machine. It keeps me active and competitive as I near 60. I have no complaints. I got it for Christmas in 2010, so next year I'm asking for a PM5 to replace my PM3.
