It was not pretty to watch, but got it done!
Wow, that's a great result, big congrats!
Thank you very much MartinSH4321, I am very satifsied about it, I had a "sub3"-plan for the competition, glad I won't have to try 3 times during the 5 daysMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:01 amWow, that's a great result, big congrats!
After your 2x1k/4'R I was very sure you'll crush your PB![]()
Atm hay fever is slowing me down, normal training feels harder than usual and I get breathing problems, and one of my kids is sick, not the best preconditions for a 1k TTTandstad wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:03 amThank you very much MartinSH4321, I am very satifsied about it, I had a "sub3"-plan for the competition, glad I won't have to try 3 times during the 5 daysMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:01 amWow, that's a great result, big congrats!

Did you have a go at it yet? Surely your results lately are also looking very promising for your part![]()
Sorry to hear that, hope you will be back soon, and that the kiddo will get well soonMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:20 amAtm hay fever is slowing me down, normal training feels harder than usual and I get breathing problems, and one of my kids is sick, not the best preconditions for a 1k TTTandstad wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:03 amThank you very much MartinSH4321, I am very satifsied about it, I had a "sub3"-plan for the competition, glad I won't have to try 3 times during the 5 daysMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:01 am

I hope it will get better and I can give it a good go, but I don't put myself under too much preassure, if I can't do it, bad luck. I'll get a new PB this season for sure

I'm curious what time you'll get at the 500m, maybe that's a distance where we can challenge![]()
Given your build and age certainly not unexpected, think you are underestimating your potential.
Thank you, yeah we're in the same boat hereTandstad wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 3:30 am...
Sorry to hear that, hope you will be back soon, and that the kiddo will get well soonKnow what you mean about the pre-conditions, have a 2 and 5 year old also, and sometimes it just seems like there are too many obstacles, when you get to start working out at 9/10 PM

I will definitely not be chasing you on the 500, you are a complete powermonster there! You will reach sub1:20 long before I can get anywhere near 1:25. During my 1k yesterday the lowest I saw was 1:26![]()
Awesome work! You beat my PB by .1 seconds too, now I will have to try and top that
Thanks KeithT, I actually had your time in the back of my head
Aggressive start indeed, good goingcanglem wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 11:20 pmI apparently had never ranked a 1k before, and decided to go for the sprint challenge tonight. Did a 20m warmup then surprised myself with this. Definitely fly and die but held on better than I thought I would.

Thanks! I sat down to do it with no plan or expectations, with a loose goal of going sub 4:00. I thought the best way to do it having not really done much sprinting at all would be go as fast as I can to build a cushion, then hold on for dear life.Tandstad wrote: ↑March 6th, 2020, 3:16 amAggressive start indeed, good goingcanglem wrote: ↑March 5th, 2020, 11:20 pmI apparently had never ranked a 1k before, and decided to go for the sprint challenge tonight. https://log.concept2.com/profile/1263328/log/42550093Perhaps you could try to hold 1:50 for the whole piece next time, and rather increase the speed at 200 meters left if you are up for it?
