Interactive Training Plan for 2000m

Post by Andyg800 » February 14th, 2020, 1:32 pm

Hi all,

just returning to the erg after a good few years away. I've been back on it for a couple months but with no structure; I want to do a 6 week plan, 4 sessions a week to out down a marker for 2000m. When I was training before I seem to recall there was a web page where you could get an interactive training plan, by specifying things like goal distance/time, how many weeks and sessions per week etc. I’ve looked but can’t find it anywhere - does it still exist? Or can anyone recommend one of the new apps that offer training plans?

Many thanks
Andy

The plan disappeared off the Indoor Sports Services website at some stage in the last couple of years. By complete luck I had captured the various screens in a spreadsheet (I think I was afraid of losing access to the plan in the future). Not sure if it is copyrighted or not, so I'll delete this link if anyone objects.

The Interactive erg training associated with the defunct ISS/UK site and the entire Holy Writ of erg training from a few decades back is still available in pdf format @:

You may want to look deeper into this erg classic (Concept 2 Indoor Training Guide, Version 2)

Then you saw it. Now you don’t?

Word to the wise, wink wink, nudge nudge. Internet hosting is ephemeral. I knew of two links to sites archiving The Indoor Training Guide V. 2—the original source of the so-called “ISS Interactives” training—until yesterday when I checked before posting and found only one link active. The book is also out of print. If access to this material is important to you in future, you will need to take measures to put access under your own control. You may or may not want to investigate the doctrine of fair use in reference to copy rights.

I have a link to the C2 Indoor Rowing Training Guide, Version 2 that works fine. I guess because the link is still active, it's OK to list it. It's not secure, but it hasn't given me any problems (that I know of, I'm not a real tech geek). It has all the interactive stuff in it.

Odd, redking didn’t work for me yesterday. Can’t recall screen message as I’m not fluent in Al Gorese. My server? Theirs! Chicken crossed the road in Kansas? Good, still couple of options. The “interactivity” @ ISS was overrated. Not much lost there imo.
