Virtual drink order
Maple moonshine (oh sooo good, but dangerously so).
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, used up, totally worn out, & loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
New Year's Eve Team Party
Good man, danwho. Thanks for stepping up; I'd hate for the New Year to arrive without a virtual team party.
I'll make a big batch of crostini and a selection of toppings! (Lots of shrimp for the AUS members.)
I'm never going to change my standing order from Champagne.
AJ is always happy with Scotch, but extra happy if it tastes of peat and smoke.
All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 12.29.19
Thanks, danwho, for stepping up to the virtual bartending role for the annual team celebration of the end of the calendar year! Get your virtual drink orders in soonest so danwho will have time to craft them!

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Happy New Year to all in the Luna-tic family...
The Harbour City is getting ready to count in the New Year with the spectacularly visual fireworks display that heralds in the New Year over Sydney Harbour and with the "Coat-Hanger" at its centre piece.
Many might be aware of the horrific fires raging across Australia presently, especially in my home state of New South Wales. We are okay where we live despite being close to the bush and a National Park, but we are greatly affected on a daily basis with thick smoke.
Travel and the smoke has rendered rowing a non-event for me over the past few weeks, hence my absence on the "board".
Janet and I have plenty of travel coming up in the next few months, one trip where we will traverse Australia along outback and desert tracks - I'll keep you posted.
Once again, Happy New Year to all, enjoy the journey, and if you happen to see the Sydney firework display on TV or in photos (they say it is seen by billions globally...!), spare a thought for our Emergency workers and those directly impacted by our horrific fires.
The following story shows what some communities are up against today as the temperature soars. It is currently about 44 degrees at our home (110f)...!

All the best, Cheers, Baz

Guinan, so good to hear your voice. I've been studying the manual. I think I got this one covered. I''ll try not to make too much of a mess.
Oops..

Happy 2020 .... and what a great way to make a first ever posting! Can't match up the forum posting name to the teammate because the software doesn't do that...but perhaps you'll tell us which name we should connect you with!?

Virtual Team New Year's Eve Party tonight...so get your virtual orders in so you can raise a glass to 2020 wherever you might be! It's a Lunie tradition!
Wanted to go back to an earlier post by David A - made on December 18. Initially I thought allowable days was perhaps subtracting Saturday from the week's available days...but there were 272 more days than there were Saturdays ...so sometimes you just ask. How did you arrive at allowable days?

One of the teams used to have a stat for erging the whole week or something like that. Not sure if our spreadsheet could help me call that out (danwho changes sides of the bar and quaffs a quick boost). David's remarkable 86+ percentage erging of days called out as allowable is something to think about. Everyone has different goals. These high percentage ergers don't have to be mega-ergers...just consistently working at erging! Thinking on it.DavidA wrote: ↑December 18th, 2019, 4:55 pmNot a meter milestone, (or a mile meterstone), but I now have owned my erg for 25 years.
My erging stats for those 25 years:
days - 9131
allowable days - 7559
actual rows - 6573
mean meters per day - 8879
mean meters per allowable day - 10726
mean meters per row - 12335
