Tis the season!

Epic snowball fights! Magnificent snow forts! Ice luminaries! Snow sculptures! I wonder what architectural feats we would have achieved had we had the snow brick molds that I saw at a local ranch supply store?! The season is FULL of opportunities.

Hooboy! A tsunami of milestones to report on today! And naturally, NATURALLY, there is that tipping point. The one where you get close enough to a milestone to say "today's the day! I'm going for it!" It's like that psychological point on a long distance row or ride that once passed, it's all downhill and everything is possible.

We are hurtling through time and space in this Holiday Challenge! Here's wishing you views that extend beyond what's in front of your erg!

Challenge Participation Incentive: Pull the erg chain for a few meters!!

In recent years, the Concept2 Challenge has drawn larger and larger participation numbers. Pretty sure that I saw that the totals for last year were close to the 20,000 number. This year, so far, we're sitting at 13,921. Our Concept2 universe meter output is cooking along, but it looks like fewer people are erging more meters.
Tucked away on the Holiday Challenge page, and also as a pop up that appears when you highlight the question mark next to Holiday Challenge, People Participating, is a note from Concept2: " As it's the 20th anniversary, we’re offering a special incentive to help celebrate: If we reach a total of 20,000 people participating in the challenge, Concept2 will add $20,000 to the total amount raised. Let’s make this goal together!" Asking Concept2 to send out another email blast...and thanks to all our teammates who are participating, and reaching out to others to get them to participate. It's good stuff!

Day 10 of 27....it's a fine day for reindeer and bling!

More Lunies will surely earn their first $2 and claim a reindeer today. It is truly amazing to see the meters zipping along on high speed! Betting that there are a lot of sound sleepers in the Lunie crew...all this exercise, the ability to eat pretty much what we want to without consequence during this Challenge...adds up to lots of good zzzzs. Some of us have to erg multiple sessions to get to the number of meters desired for the day. This is perhaps less efficient in terms of whatever else you might be trying to get done. I know that having dogs around when trying to erg (dogs in, dogs out,throw the ball, NO indoor frisbee) is counterproductive....almost need to wait until it is their sleepy time, just like with human kids (PLEASE take a nap). There are more elements to this Challenge than we realize at its start.
