Suddenly Can't Upload Row Data From ErgData

Today (10/24/2019) the ErgData Android app failed to upload my rowing session.
It showed an error dialog with the following message:

Title: "Online LogBook Status", Message: "org.json.JSONException: Not value for data" with an OK button.

I tried reloading the app and restarting my phone but neither helped. This seems to be an issue with the Concept 2 server.

Log out of your logbook in Ergdata then log back in.

That fixed it.

It appears ErgData forgot the password to my logbook account.
That is probably what the error message meant in machine-speak.

I'm just reporting that ErgData forgot my password used to log in again.

Reentering it fixed the problem.

This sure seems like a bug. My phone is a Pixel 2 with up-to-date system firmware.

All I do is just row. Hit "Yes" when done, swipe to the workout screen and press 'sync. Error pops up.

Yet again today ErgData forgot my password.

What makes this worse is that the App doesn't seem to play well with my password manager called KeePass (I use longer passwords for security).

It's a pain to type it in without seeing what I type.

Please fix this bug!

It just happened to me again today. So the newer version didn't fix this problem.

Please write to rowing@concept2.com to report the bug directly to the Concept2 app developers.

It seems strange that those developers wouldn't monitor the "Bug Reports" forum given that seems what it's for.

I'll give it a shot nonetheless since this method doesn't seem to be working.

It appears to loose your login details at random. Reentering them and pressing verify fixes it.
