Don't forget to check your mileage occasionally, and take advantage of Concept2's generous loot incentives. I just happened to glance at my bikeErg meters on the CHALLENGES tab, and ... zounds ... I've passed 5 MM, which entitles me to a complimentary long sleeved tee shirt. Just in time for cooler weather. I'm stoked! Ready to leap (in my dreams) back on the bikeErg and pedal my way into Carnival Row, tonight.
Woo Hoo!
Congratulations!

Doesn't seem right that regression happens so quickly, and rebuild takes much longer...but there it is. Staring us right in the eyeballs.

Day 7 of 31...and we're 7th!
There are 5,504 Fall Challenge participants in the Concept2 Universe as of today, and we have generated 116 million meters in one week. Pretty amazing! Flash forward a few months to the Holiday Challenge. There will be over 20,000 participants (but we're the only team to earn reindeer)!
About 150 K distance between us and number 6, so some work to do there. Congratulations, Ed, on reaching the 200 K Challenge meter level. Ron has reached 100 K, joining Zach and Brett at that level. Many others are already at 50 K. Good work Lunies!

Day 8 of 31....and we're in the 7th spot!
Top Ten Percent in the Challenge: Shock and Awe!!
A goal for many of our teammates is to stay in the top ten percent of all participants in the Challenge, and right now that means your meter piggy bank has at least 58,500 FTC challenge meters. I took a quick look to see how many of the 90 Lunies on the FTC roster would qualify, thinking I'd find maybe five or six. But no...much bigger number...
!
Ed (not just in the top ten percent...he's in the top TEN individuals!), Brett, Ron, Zach, Norma, Baz, Minnie, Howard,Ted, Ken P (who is new to rowing!), Rebecca, Eric, Warnie, David A, and Gary! Well done! And this is not to discount the efforts of the rest of us!
MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:
3.8 MM Ed
2.3 MM Warnie
1.45 MM Rebecca
550 K David T
450 K Eric
450 K Dan O'
200 K K2
50 K Tombeur
Thanks, everyone, for erging with us! 140 Lunies on the roster as Laurie P signs on!

Hi Kona,
Wish I could take credit for 50,000 for 1 row but I actually rowed 5 - 10,000’s throughout the day.
Goal is to stay in top 10. The leaders - I don’t know how they do it...
Happy rowing,
Ed

Tour of the Moon is a ride that NATURALLY I was interested in doing when I first heard about it. I mean it totally fits! I've done it twice now and the descents still are scary. The climbs are slow for me, but the scenery is awesome. Here is the promo video on a ride event that I normally would be heading out to Grand Junction CO to participate in! Enjoy it!

Day 12 of 31....and we're (you guessed it!) ... 7th !!
Hooboy! Lunies were going to extra meters yesterday - pounding out the palindromes, and moonshine everywhere! Really good stuff! As of early this AM, 16 Lunies had met the 100K Challenge Milestone. Congratulations to Howard, David A, Eric, Minnie, Dan O', Ted, and Baz on joining that milestone group!
Yes, the stat numbers were captured early this morning and then things got complicated. With the changing of the seasons comes the maintenance groups that go with those seasons...stuff like winterizing (even though today turned out to be relatively toasty, at this time last year we'd had one hard freeze). You know how it goes with maintenance...before you know it, some aspect of it has become a "project" and heaven forbid...might require a trip to the local hardware store. Egad, but true. It didn't help that I accidentally hit the lock button on the garage door opener. Lordy. All this has contributed to a later than usual post.
MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:
