Goed gedaan boyz!<br />Hennie 4e bij "V40+" in 6:37:7 en Pieter 5e bij "V30+" in 6:31:3.<br /><br />Pieter is met zijn "allstarteam" 1ste geworden bij de teamwedstrijd in 3:04.8! Dat is één seconde sneller dan het 1ste team van vorig jaar! Knappe tijd jongens!

Hi, folks!<br />Polaco and me had registered for the Nkirc.<br />Today we got up at 04:00 and met at 05:00 am at the Barcelona airport. At those times there aren't any streets open in Spain! (or just to get home after supper).<br />Regreattabily, and due to the heavy fog in Amsterdam, our fly was delayed for about 5 hours. At 10:30 Polaco and I decided that there was no time to arrive for the race, so we had to cancel the trip <br />As it was still early, we went to the olympic channel and had a very nice 12 km row in sunny Castelldefels, and at about the race time, we went for a 2k in the gym: 6:37 for Jaime and 6:54 for me. Suppose that under racing conditions we could have done slightly better <br />Well, we both feel quite sad, as we were looking very forward to meeting you all in Amsterdam, and we could not do the 2k race and left half team for the 4*1000 m without racing.<br />Many and very, very special thanks to Hennie+Simone and also to Pieter, maybe next time... <br />We are thinking about racing in the Heinecken regatta, so be prepared! <br />As you see, we also have not been loosing our time during the waiting time.<br />Here you see a pic of Polaco after having finished his second free breakfast (courtesy of the airline) at the airport bar... <br /><img src='http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/7297 ... rto7nb.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br />Well, hope to see ya soon. <img src='http://home.hccnet.nl/h.martini/PC100011%20(Medium).JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Jaap Roosma, Wiecher Dalssem, Pieter de Jong en Frank Mangelschot op het ere poduim voor het winnen van de 4 mannen in 3:04.8<br /><br />Jaap had eerder al de 1ste prijs gehaald bij de 40+ (6:17.1 ). Bij de 40+ was Wiecher tweede geworden (6:33.6) en Hennie 4de (6:37.7).<br /><br />Bij de 30+ was Frank 1ste geworden (6:22.8) en Pieter 5de (6:31.3).<br /><br /><img src='http://home.hccnet.nl/h.martini/PC100002%20(Medium).JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Kees Verhoeven (5de plaats bij de 50+ in 7:24.5) in gesprek met Godfried die niet mee kon doen omdat hij zijn knie had verdraaid (volgende keer doet hij weer mee! )<br /><br /><img src='http://home.hccnet.nl/h.martini/PC100004%20(Medium).JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Het was druk in Amsterdam. Leuke foto's Godfried en Hennie!<br /><br />Ik heb er toch wel spijt van dat ik er niet bij was.<br />Zo te zien was de ambiance in ieder geval wèl een stuk minder dan vorig jaar met de EK.
