 I always have a bucket close to the erg when trying a TT, esp. at the short stuff nausea can be evil, it's the lactic acid I think
Yeah, if I remember right your 1k PB was your only TT and a classic fly and die, I'm sure you'll beat my time with a better paced attempt!
You've got a better memory than me! I have just looked and it was a magnificent fly and die. (1:31; 1:32; 1:34; 1:36; 1:38) I was running on fumes at the end so maybe with a better paced strategy I will improve but I'm really not sure I'll knock off more than 4 seconds.

Regardless, I will have another go on this sometime soon as I should be able to beat it even if I can't beat your PB

Had a little over 1k to get for the Dog Days Challenge tonight after bowling, so I decided to do a 2k time trial, and surprised myself quite a bit by shaving 40 seconds off my PB for an 8:09.5. Could've been even better, but got a phone call on my Apple watch midway through the 2nd 500 and I tried to clear it but ended up missing a stroke. I'm still fairly happy with this result, though.

8:09.5 2,000m 2:02.3 191 957 26
2:01.2 500m 2:01.2 197 976 30

2:02.5 1,500m 2:02.5 190 955 25
1:59.1 2,000m 1:59.1 207 1013 25
Started rowing 4/22/19.
PBs: 1min - 314m, 500m - 1:40.0, 1,000m - 3:45.3, 4min - 1,082m, 2,000m - 7:41.0, 5.000m - 21:18.2, 6,000m - 25:41.6, 30min - 7,010m, 10k - 44:40.5, 60min - 13,112m

Well done, that's a massive improvement. There's an 'easy' five seconds to lose for next time, and with a consistently higher rating sub 8 will be possible.

Thanks - a great feeling indeed. Seeing that your and my personal bests are very similiar, I sent you a training partner request.
Feel free to accept it (or not) B)

Well done Bob. It doesn't matter how long it took you and now you have done it, you have set a new level to keep improving from.

These big milestones are really important to galvanise your expectations of what is possible as belief is an important part of erging. When you know you're capable you quieten the inner chimp chatter

With 8k, congrats, that should be relative easy. If not your speed needs work.

with 8k/30min and the 18:20/5k I saw in your profile this shouldn't be a problem, the 5k pace is already a 7:20 2k, but 2,5x
