I *think* my biceps are growing having switched from heavy hammer curls (I have elbow issues with regular barbell and dumbell curls) to Zbar curls with less weight but focusing much more on the negative. I drop the weight over 4-5s and don't go overly heavy. I think this "time under tension" helps and also from a mind-muscle connection. I would love to be able to do chinups but anything other than static holds seems to aggravate my elbows again.

One thing I've noticed is the hypertrophy from many (not all as the exercise has to "work" for the individual) exercises where it's new one, and I've found I've become very in tune with myself when I feel like muscle is being added even though it may be quite modest.

A bicep vein is a rite of passage haha....I just need some biceps first!! Jeff's look is quite an extreme and even moreso because he seems to retain that look year round. I thought the link was interesting because it does potentially explain why I've built my forearms but not biceps. Infact I tried my first sets of light curls with a slack wrist yesterday...it did feel more targetted but did make my wrists ache a bit. All good today though so it's something I'll continue with.

So you want to be fat  Thats the only way to keep them hidden. He is very lean though. But thats the look you get when you are natural.

Don't get me wrong looking ripped on some blokes suits them. But something about his look thats ugly IMO. His biceps look bizarre to me when he flexes.

That look those who take the cattle growth stuff get.

His biceps look alot better than mine. The phrase "do you even lift?" comes to mind with mine.

Lookup Mike Thurston on youtube... his look suits him. Also another good body building channel worth subscribing to

You may not find him atractive, but the second part is utter bull. He is also a bit older, fat which stays on when you are younger, goes away. If he was 5/10 poinds fatter he would look softer.

You have a thing with veins, don,t you, stay above 15% fat or else you might see one :D

Yeah, I have seen his channel. He's at a higher bodyfat % and I'd argue has better genetics. Jeff is quite short and I doubt could ever be as bulky as MT....so maybe he then preferred to keep his bodyfat % low more consistently in order to set himself apart in the Youtube world. Anyway, we digress...
