Day 14 and we're in Lucky 7th...barely...
Yes, the hoards are chasing us in the World Erg Challenge, seeking galactic domination and all that. As for us, the Lunies are busy exploring the lunar surface (rock, another rock, crater, and what kind of sea has no water?!). Views of Earth are spectacular from the lunar surface, but don't forget your headlamp. In fact, in life don't forget your headlamp.

Day 16 of 32...halfway point...and we're in lucky 8th !
Today is the last day to sign on to participate in the WEC - and some of the big swings we have been seeing as teams add new teammates will slow down. Still, a lot of the teams only upload their meters every few days - and that's when the standings can change pretty dramatically. Now we get down to serious business!

I finally did it. Well, two things. First: I joined the Million Meter Club yesterday. Second: I finished my first challenge earlier today. It's taken me a long time to really get hooked on rowing, but I'm glad it finally happened. I've rowed more meters in the last 10 weeks than the previous nine years, combined. I feel so much healthier in body, mind and spirit. Here's to the next million and never giving up!

Day 17 of 32...and we are 8th!
Hoards are still swarming! The team rosters are now "locked" for the remainder of the Challenge. We've entered the second half, and have a couple weeks before the bell lap!
This is it! The LAST day!
5 K Challenge Finishers: Jim M, Dan O'
10 K Challenge Finishers: Liz
Hooboy! We have SIX teammates who have been beastie enough to complete the challenge requirements at either the 5 or 10K level every single day for the past 30...and two have already finished all 31 days ! Stay tuned for the list of every day warriors tomorrow!! Meanwhile, the Concept2 universe saw a great diminishing of The Force overnight with the biggest drop in eligible participants on the challenge roster since day 8. We tumbled from 1800 to 1382 participants at the 5K level, and from 644 to 501 at the 10K level. So CLOSE!!!

Erging is addictive...and we like to think that the team atmosphere helps keep you motivated to keep going!
I really appreciate your daily updates and the support of the team. It has definitely helped me stay motivated and has encouraged me to push myself to make more progress than I think I would have if I were doing it alone.

Whoooosh!!! That's the sound of you and your erg flying through yet another month!!
Day 18 of 32 ... and we're 8th !
It's a wrap!
Atta Lunies! Five Lunies erged all 31 days of the Challenge! Congratulations, and an Atta Lunie to 5K finisher Leon, and 10K finishers Norma, Ron, Truthy and Rebecca!
Overall, 26 Lunies finished on the 5K Challenge Roster, and 19 Lunies finished on the 10K Challenge Roster.
As in previous years, the ski jump graph played out. Takes a lot of aligned stars and discipline to finish the 25 days of the Challenge! Good work to all who participated!

Day 19 of 32...and slippage! We're 10th !
There are some very large teams in the Challenge, particularly in the Health/Fitness category. A meter upload from these teams is sort of like a meter tsunami. On an individual basis, if you are seeking to be in the top ten percent of all participants, you need to be at 155K for the Challenge. Keep going! There is still a lot of lunar surface to explore!
