It may be time to spring forward tonight...but...it's STILL winter...

Image Day 9 of 25...

Just when you think you understand the erging Universe, you find yourself caught up in a space mystery! Overall participation numbers continue to grow, although they should be declining (I can see this in our team stats, yet it isn't counting the same in Concept2-land). Is this another of life's conundrums or is the erging Universe changing substantively or is there a delay built into the Concept2 program?! Inquiring minds want to know!

Image 10K a day = 40 Lunies! 6,193 participants overall - number of Lunies unchanged from yesterday!

Image 5K a day = 66 Lunies! 14,973 participants overall .. up 2 Lunies from yesterday!

Last day to get the 1000 m sprint done for the Virtual Indoor Sprints...check the box!

Image Day 10 of 31... are you still in the Challenge?!

All is now as foretold with the Concept2 erging universe, and things are right with my patterned world. Naturally I do not revel in GREATLY declining participation numbers in any Challenge. I do want to see the numbers play out as "normal" for what I have found to be the psychology of this particular Challenge over the last decade or so of watching the numbers of participants rise and fall. It's part of what makes this Challenge more difficult than some. Erging 25 out of 31 days in the month is one thing...having to meet specific numbers is another, even if you are given two choices in numeric levels. Not quite Draconian, but still !

Image 10K a day = 33 Lunies! This is down from 40 Lunies yesterday! 3,666 participants down from 6,193 participants overall yesterday. This is a 40 percent drop overall, and an 18 percent drop for the Lunies.

Image 5K a day = 61 Lunies - down from 66 Lunies yesterday! 10,442 participants - down from 14,973 participants overall yesterday. This is a 30 percent drop overall, but only 8 percent for the Lunies!

Good Morning Luna-Tics,
I've been off of my rowing machine and the forum for YEARS due to some family issues which took us from GA to NY where we are now, coupled with a few knee and shoulder surgeries. But I've got my rowing machine back in my life and all of my limbs are working as intended so we are getting reacquainted. :D

I've missed reading your posts and participating in challenges. So, it's good to be back and to see familiar faces in the posts.

I made March 1st my day for a fresh start and UGH my muscles are protesting. Where I used to be able to row a half-marathon in one sitting I find myself winded after 5 minutes of continual rowing, so needless to say it's going to be a gradual progression to get back into it. But I find that I love it nonetheless!

I look forward to being a part of the Luna-Tics again. I couldn't get back into the forum with my old saved user name so where I used to be seen as Jodi, I'm now Grammyof5. Same me, just older and with a few more grandchildren than I had before.
Welcome back.
I wondered what became of you.
I am glad you are doing okay.
Good luck with your new start.
Congratulations on the additional grandchildren.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome back. I was able to re-establish my former username, so am back in as Jodi, and yes, LOL, I still have a glass of wine, although many have passed through my fingers in the years since I've last posted

I'm looking forward to the upcoming challenge and contributing to the team effort.

Not sure that I've ever seen weather conditions just labeled Blizzard like this screenshot from this AM. Snowmageddon. Still winter. Steady rain for several hours now. Mud season for certain. Hang on to yer hat.

Image Day 13 of 31...

Rats. Unforeseen circumstances forced a shorter erg session yesterday, so I've "burned" a day at the 10K level. Still, that's is why you guard those "extra" days so fiercely...because you don't want to reach the "and then there were none" status! Here's a look at Lunies in the Hunt through yesterday:

I know these aren't fancy graphs, but it makes me happy to create them. Happy is good. :D
