Thanks for all the hard work you put into this group Kona, very much appreciated.

Crazy, but coolEdscapade wrote: ↑February 20th, 2019, 11:43 amHi team,
Been having issues with resetting the password... finally able to get it done. Not sure if I got hacked but couldn't log in here but could update meters.
On Feb 12 here in Qatar is a national holiday - Sports Day. They want all people here to take the day off and enjoy many activities dealing with health and exercise.
So to get things going with my team and other managers - I invited them to challenge me 1000 meters at a time on the rower. I had 48 take the challenge with a couple at the end willing to go again to make it 50. It was fun and challenging at the same time as I don't normally row for speed I am more for the distance in 2.5 hours.
Well I was tired by the end - but it was a good tired. I only lost one challenge but it was close. Everyone that attended enjoyed the day and I think a few will end up rowing more often.
Happy rowing,
Ed

Wow! Ed, that's a serious interval set 50 X 1k, Awesome you were able to get so many people involved....I wish we had a sports day or exercise day for a holiday Oh well. I did some installation work on a biz called The Row House going in, just a couple miles from my house, I talked to the owner about it and It's all concept 2 rowers and will be similar to a spin class but with rowers. Sounds interesting to me and with it being so close to my house I will certainly give it a try once they open in early March. They do have other facilities in different parts of the Country, has anyone heard of them or tried it out?

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I don't have any SkiErg images - but would be glad to post any that you have, Warnie! There are six teammates with skiergs. You, Steve W, Jason H, Jessica, Ryan, and Tombeur. Together, you've contributed 918,390 ski erg meters.
Btw, for anyone who wants to know how many teammates have indoor rowers, bike ergs or ski ergs, Concept2's redesigned logbook allows us all to see these things. Here's how you do this:
When next in your logbook, go to the bottom of the webpage where it says Quick Links and click on : affiliation standings
Next click on Luna-Tics
A cascade of teammates will appear
On the right side of the page, you'll see season meters, how many teammates, average meters
Below that is Workout Types
Click on the dropdown and select the category: everything from all rowers to ski erg
Select the one you wish to check out, and you'll see who and what
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Cool ! Looks like you or Roy P (both in Highlands Ranch) would be closest locations to get an opportunity to check it out, That's about a 45 min drive for me, but might be worth it. This is a rapidly expanding franchise - looks like they signed 47 franchises in June 2018! Of those, 17 are slated for opening pretty soon, including the one that you were working on or in.dag1 wrote: ↑February 21st, 2019, 7:03 pmWow! ....coming soon to an erg near you!
Gear up. March Mudness Madness starts in less than a week. You'll need to pick your days off the erg carefully during this Challenge, and leave yourself a backup day or two! 5K or 10K a day (bike ergers will need a 10 or 20) is what it takes to satisfy the Concept2 counters....for 25 of the 31 days. Each day that you meet the Challenge required meter amounts, your name will be entered in the random drawing done by Concept2 for prizes. Back in the day when there were fewer ergers, I could say with some degree of certainty that SOMEONE on our team always wins something, and some years we have had two winners. Last year, alas, there were no Lunie prize winners. Naturally this caused dismay. And messed up my statistics. The more you erg, the more you get your name in the lottery. If you erg at the 10K level, you'll have double the chance on certain days where they pick a 10K and a 5K name. Surely we can have a Lunie winner this year??!

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Now that I'm using the SkiErg again I am hoping to hit the 20K a day required (BikeErg). Guessign we don't have to sign up for this challenge and just do it?! Good luck to all, hopefully someone will win a prize.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Crikey, lots going on in here, trust all are well.
Weather Downunder has been pretty good in the Harbour City, although the days are shortening .
Trying to get some rowing in between the SES duties and travel...! Won't qualify for the March Madness as we are off for a couple of weeks to walk in and around Wilsons Promontory in the South-East in mid March.
Take care, Baz
