Kona,

Not being familiar with the term , “Welkian Palindrome,” I looked up the relevant number, 12121, with this result: + The smallest palindrome with three prime factors, with none of them being palindromes themselves (12121 = 17 x 23 x 31). [Thoms]

If so, I am tempted to fantasize, borrowing my spouse, Karen's, formulation, that I am still in my prime, backwards and forwards, as I approach the completion of my 77th orbit around the sun. This pleasant news comes, as you know, after a tough year with the repair of a left inguinal hernia, the implant of a pacemaker to control a heartbeat said to have become too slow and a procedure with a big word to take me out of atrial fibrillation into a normal rhythm.

Query, Welkian? Who does that signify.

Thanks for the education. Tom (Tombeur)

Lawrence Welk? A great musician and entertainer. And now it is revealed, a mathematician! The cover of this album has to be the answer. Thanks, Just 27. Tombeur

Sometimes I am too obscure...it all starts innocently enough, as many things do...it was first just a one and a two and a one and a two palindrome...and then just writing that activated some long ago imprinted brain cell and there it was "Lawrence Welk." I liked the word Welkian better. Good thing you didn't have a 21,212 number...it would have been a reverse Welkian...

Thanks, Minnie, for helping me communicate!

Whoop, whoop, and it's a milestone! For me, it's a first ever Bike Million Meter season - and you know we all love first evers! Let's hope all these bike erg meters help with the two wheels on the roadway mileage!
Congratulations and many more to come!!!
