Using the skierg and trying to fir it in with on snow training
I am a highschool skiier and a fan of the ski erg however it is hard for me to find time to do workouts with it amongst trying to train on snow. Any tips on finding a balance?

I would use the Skierg as a supplement to your training on snow, similar to using a treadmill along with running outdoors.
For running I used a treadmill to warm up before heading outside, for periodic 1 minute reps following outdoor training sessions,
and sometimes for complete workouts when conditions outside were not suitable. You could do the same thing or similar with the Skierg.

Use the skierg in summer and the snow in winter. Make sure you know all about skating uphill, going round downhill corners at high speed, as well as all the other langlauf styles, and waxing your skis. Try shooting too.

I think it's best used to supplement on-snow time. It's great in the off-season to maintain fitness, but still has it's uses in-season. Few folks have daily access to groomed trails and the Erg can be used on those days. But what is great and I haven't seen mentioned is it allows you to really dial in a precise effort, and for high-intensity workouts that can be really advantageous. It's similar to the precision you can get doing hill workouts on the treadmill. Getting the really high intensity work on snow can be difficult without good technique, good conditions, etc, and the SkiErg provides a way to do that. It can be used the way any rollerboard work might be used as part of gym strength workout as well. However, it's never going to replace on-snow time (for training OR fun!).
