Is there a demand for a used PM4 monitor?

Post by JonWalters » October 12th, 2018, 1:26 pm

All

I’ve recently bought a PM5 monitor for my indoor rower. I did this at the same time as I bought a skierg because I wanted the ability to quickly switch between the two using Bluetooth Connect and the ErgData app.

I’ve stuck the PM4 monitor that was on my machine in the cupboard, but am now wondering if there is a demand for them and whether it would be worth trying to sell it?

If there is not, there should be. Mature tech, card reader system for logbk upload continues to work well to date altho 3rd party card readers are becoming scarce, works well with wireless ANT+ for HR belt transmission, works well with ErgData.

Personally I would be keeping the PM4 as a backup monitor, but thats just me.

Don't leave any batteries in it and keep it in dry place.

Absolutely YES! We are a small club in Port Angeles, WA (Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association) and would be happy to acquire used, reasonably priced monitors to put on our ergs that the monitors have died. I recently purchased four PM5s because I thought that was my only option.

Shipping it across the pond from the UK will make it more expensive than a brand new PM5 shipped from Morrisville, VT
