Thanks Lance. Having trouble getting the meters in this month due to insane European travel commitments and lack of ergs in the hotels I’m staying in. But after last Sunday’s 10K PB and no rowing since, I posted another 10k PB this morning 14 seconds faster. If I can get a few intervals in this week in my hotel, I’ll try and break a 7:30 2K next week.

Hi all, after eating too much home made pizza chips, and m+m's yesterday. I thought i'd do a HM.
Previous time 1:18:27.3
Todays 1:17:37.3 Ave/ 1:50.3 :D

Caution when using deep heat cream, wash hand at least 3 times before going for a tinkle
I think I could match that. The pizza, chips and m+m's part.

Ohh and awesome rowing !!! Really impressive.
Thanks. Pizza and chips, m&m's repeated every Saturday evening. :)

Lowered my 1K last night to 3:03.6, wasn't going to post as its not really a milestone PB but I am starting to think I can hit a big milestone of a sub 3:00 1K. I know 3.6 seconds is a lot in the 1K but I have lowered it by over 6 seconds in last few months and last nights row was after 5 previous days of rowing, CF and Weightlifting. Also, I swore I was going to stop doing TT and just train but was limited on time and I it just popped in my head to warmup some and test a shorter piece. I think it will be mental challenge to see 1:30 and lower on the monitor for the majority of 3 minutes but would be a cool accomplishment. So, adding it to my goal list - main goal is still the sub 6:30 2K in the next 4 months.

Andrew that is just awesome!! I once posted on here that I set more PRs when not expecting it and not sleeping or eating well...I swear it always seem to be true. I see your name in the rankings all the time as you are in my age group and other than the 500 your name is always above mine with some killer scores - really jealous of the 2K time. Morale of the story though is to eat pizza chips and M&Ms and I am assuming maybe washing down with some adult beverages.

can you all stop rowing please and let me get some meters in, sorry to say another lazy rowing week,
I was thinking my number of meters in 1hr were not sitting right and tried to rectify that this morning
unfortunately the beer and wine from last night were also not sitting right so not much of an improvement....

Congratulations, Marius!

Can you describe some of your athletic background, what sports did you excel at prior to row and ski ergs?

Thanks.

@hjs - A couple of workouts and Phil will be miles ahead the rest of us  I think he is aiming for 2:43 at the world sprints in November.
@Hillclimber - I come from a background of powerlifting. That strenght and weight are long gone
@Dangerscouse - Got to save some for a fast last :D Should probably try a new 500m TT soon, I think I'm faster than 1:18.8 now.
