Woohoo - another PB for me today, this time over 30 minutes.

Previous best was 7,170, but today I smashed that and did 7,330m!

Was feeling frustrated with myself after yesterday's row (I HD'd 1 hr into a 1/2mara PB attempt), so decided to do something bit shorter. Was undecided whether to go out at 2:05 or 2:04, and set a pace boat at 2:05. However, that felt a bit too easy, so I kept it at 2:04 until 20mins and then slowly upped the pace, to 2:02; 2:01, and then sub 2:00 for the last 500m.

Best thing about the row for me was that I was at 24spm for most of it, and was using the force curve to try and make sure my stroke was as strong and long as possible... My force curve still has a tendency to be a bit Mount Everest rather than Table mountain, but it's amazing to me (as a novice rower) how much difference it makes when you get a consistent sequence of powerful strokes.

Third try at a 5km PB today, finished at 21:15, going the right way but still can't break 21.
Forth try at 5km PB today. I worked on the theory that if you don't feel like spewing you're not going hard enough. That resulted in a 20:28, 45 seconds better than last week! That time will stand for a while.

Impressive! Knocking 45s off a 5k PB is not something that happens often. What's your secret? Beet juice?

New PB on 5K today. 11 seconds faster than one last month. Took a bit of time to warm up after a hard hockey trading session last night and I had to take my shirt off halfway in. Probably could have shaved 5 more seconds off otherwise. Still not under 20 though.
