Hello Pat,

Congratulations on reaching 3 million meters! I'm hoping to reach 2 million before too long. Maybe during the January challenge, if I don't run out of energy. I'll be away from the rower for 5-6 weeks over the next 2 months, so it would be nice to get it done.

Our team total's pretty amazing, isn't it?

Emilia

I need a DVD player in my gym..Hmmmm...next gift request..??..LOLOL..
Have a great evening!!

Pat
cool.gif

Hey Qwacky!

I think the C2 folks should make a new monitor with a DVD player built right in! Otherwise, I usually end up playing one using my computer and watching it on the monitor with the speakers cranked. However, this tends to drive the spousal unit and the Chihuahua out of the family room. Maybe THAT's why I got a new iPod for Christmas??

Welcome back, Emilia!

Sounds like you had a great time snowshoeing. I want to get some this year (they should be marking them down soon around here). I really thought Santa was going to get them for me this year, but I got the iPod instead. Not gonna gripe, though! It's pretty cool, but now I've got to buy some t-shirts with pockets in them to hold the iPod, either that or get a neck strap. But I kinda have this paranoia about having long straps around my neck.... So, I'll go the t-shirt route, methinks.

--Jen in snowshoe land, WI

Hey Jen

I've got a tip for you, regarding your ipod:
Clip it on the back of your shorts , or whatever you're wearing, and let the earphonecable run over your back, this way you will not strangle yourself! and no need for pockets!

Go Team!!

You have to know what kind of luck I have with stuff to understand why a neck strap wouldn't be a good idea. I've been in a motorcycle accident, snowmobile crash (cracked the helmet--that's why I'm like this! ). No, seriously, I'm a living tribute to the use of helmets, so wear those helmets, folks! Knowing what I'm like, my hubba wants me to wear one on the rower.

I have to get a case that has a clip on it. Right now I have a purple leather cover that has a wrist strap, and a black, easel-type case. I suppose I could kinda wedge the easel back into the back of my shorts--might try that. I think my hubba anticipated things for me and ordered a speaker base for it as well. I can plug the iPod into that and blare the speakers (when he and the Chihooey are in the other room), and it charges up the iPod as well.

I've had my eyes on a couple of other kinds of covers, too--geesh, I feel like I'm getting a whole wardrobe for my iPod! Must be a way of compensating for not having a Barbie doll when I was growing up. I never paid any attention to iPods before--just used my Walkman CD player, but iPods are totally cool.

Off to find a cover with a belt clip....

--Jen in WI

HEY Jen

I got clip-cover for free when i bought my Ipod two years ago! It's like a hard cover with a clip! I think they will still sell it! I don't know About the Barbie-thing, I buy 'em all! for my Nona that is!

She's my daughter!!

20 GB or 40 Gb must enough for rowing a 10K???

If you show your dog, I will show your mine, It's the most beautifull dog around!
It's a dutch dog called : friese stabij, a kind of wetterhoun

Go TEAM!!
After a quiet weekend on the erging front I am back into it again for Monday. 20,457 logged this evening. No real reason for the distance, it just happened that way! If I'd thought about it I guess I could have increased it to a HM but I could not see the computer screen to work out how I was doing against the pace boat.

Feeling a bit guilty tho' - I have a horrible feeling that all that housework is going to have to wait until February! Oh well never mind! GO DUCKS!
