Re: Forum Flyers
Hi Paul
Welcome on board! Unless someone with more authority than me in the team comes along and disagrees, consider yourself in the team.
If you update your affiliation on your profile on the Concept2 site that should get your metres added to the team total. Whenever there is a team challenge you will also need to add yourself to "Forum flyers 2018" (go to the "Teams" section in the logbook, and it should hopefully be easy to work this out).
We do the monthly challenges at the Cross Team Challenge site. You'll need to do a separate registration there and add yourself to the Forum Flyers team (apparently there are some issues with signing up occasionally but drop past here with questions).
Good luck with the new machine and baby. I did things the opposite way around - kids made me lose my rowing routine, but I finally got back onto it properly a year ago (the kids are 9 and 7 now, so it's easier to find the time to train).
Cheers
Dave

Jack was faster than me! That's at least 2 votes for letting you into the team then.

Sloth and jackrabbit? Maybe there is something in that spirit animal stuff, Dave? Yeh, I wish.
Henry will be along to stamp Paul’s application I’m thinking.

CTC tonite
went at it pretty hard
Pleased to have my nose in front of Frank N!
1860m @1:36.7 (close to max at the moment)
Terry was @1:46.1 which is good for him too
I have a new young lady in the gym who is going to give it a go too I think
LWTs would be good!
Well done all

Shakedown CTC. Actually fun at this pace but total loss of speed endurance revealed.

Re: Forum Flyers
Nicely done, Jack. Looks like that should push one of boat 4's females down to the stranded boat 5, and there might be a small chance of getting boat 5 out before the end of the month.
I added up the first 6 intervals from a scheduled 10x1' r 1' AN session from the interactive plan last night, and managed to add a few metres to my score from earlier in the month. Still not enough to get ahead of Graham though. With a push I could get ahead of him and Kim, but nowhere near John Stock in the next boat. I think I'll take the path of least resistance and not have another go.

Michelle nailed @1:58.8 - not bad at all and sitting in boat 2.
We might even get to 6 boats this month??

Re: Forum Flyers
FF is blessed with Michelles this month. You can't have too many!
And our new member Paul from Philly has 150k on our affiliation totals. Nice going, Paul!
Dave, I will slot in later if 6 doesn’t get its full complement. Like to give it a couple more attempts.

Re: Forum Flyers
Hello everyone,
my name is Daniel Rosenberg and I'm from southern Germany. I have been rowing on my model d for a few years now, never competitively, purely for cardio fitness and weight loss.
As I live in a rural area I never found somebody who likes to row or even owns a rowing machine, so I gave up on finding a team near me.
I always liked the individual challenges on the concept 2 log and would like to join you so I can be able to join in on the team challenges and contribute a little. Would this be possible?
Best regards
Daniel

Re: Forum Flyers
Welcome on board, Daniel!
We're always keen to have new members, but especially if they're lightweights or female. Check out Cross Team Challenge which you might not have seen before (it isn't affiliated to the main Concept2 challenges, but has been going for many years).
Cheers
Dave

Re: Forum Flyers
Thank you for the warm welcome. I will definetly check out the CTC.
I am afraid I can't help with the lightweigth with my 81,5 kg (or being female, for that matter), but maybe I will get there. I have steadily been losing weight since May. Lightweight is 75 kg and below, is that correct?
