It needs to be up at r28 minimum for a TT imo but if it's just for SS training r22 is fine but r28 and above is more aerobic fitness so for some that may only come with time and lots and lots of metres

First post on this thread for me.
I’ve just done a 1hr row and set a new PB of 14,016... 1st 10mins was around 24spm, next 40mins was 26spm, and last 10 was around 28-30.
Really pleased with breaking 14k, and It felt as though I paced it about right...

Thanks Lance - I’m actually not sure what my next goal is going to be... I’ve been playing a bit with intervals with half an eye on getting my 5k under 20mins, so it might be that. Alternatively, I think my half-marathon time is the lowest percentile in the rankings, so I might try and get that a bit more in line!lancecampeau wrote: ↑August 26th, 2018, 2:32 pmWelcome to the forum and congrats on the PB! Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Early morning attempt at HM PB, though only my second HM. Previous time was 1:27:57.3 and this morning I managed to do it in 1:26:24.3, which I'm quite pleased with. I used a higher DF (115 compared to 102) and it was much cooler this morning (16c/61f) so I think that helped.
Didn't find this one as hard as the first one but not exactly a walk in the park either. Still a rookie at this but glad I can do a HM and cope mentally.
Splits below - I slowed down a few times for drink/towel and really I tried to be conservative in pacing as I'm still not sure what I'm capable of.

@RayOfSunshine - Thanks, signature updated
@johnlvs2run - Thanks. Drag factor this time was 235 as I have trained to get used to higher drag for some time now. Previous 1K WR was done at a drag factor of 130.
@hjs - Thanks. It seems to suit me very well, when I get into my rhythm it is really effortless to keep a rather low split. First 500 of this 1k felt like just transportation and I could also keep a rather low rate compared to my previous 1K TT(57spm). Could probably shave of half a second with a bit quicker start, but will save that for the skierg world sprints in November
The 2K will come but I do not care to much about it right now
