AWESOME!!!
I will be interested to see what you think of the bikeerg. Janice is considering getting one. I probably won't but I'd like to try hers.
Hmm, what to say... Keep on rock'n doesn't quite fit. Keep on kicking doesn't quite do it either. Keep on pressing with your feet works but sounds … um, well, just wrong. Forgive me my sins but dang it! I'm a rower.

Keep on rock'n!
So there!

Yes, that's it!
Rock'n and roll'n.
So let's see how this works.
Keep on rock'n and roll'n folks!

Not so bad I think. Man, this whole trying to be correct stuff tires me out. I think I better go rock'n for my morning session now.

Week 2....ends today! We have 37 Lunies who have completed week 2's requisite 20K!

Image
It's STILL summer...enjoy it !!

Behold the fireweed! Weekend before last I chronicled the Shadow Mountain Hike to the firetower. Just getting around to the photos - some I took, and some taken by friends. The story is that the magenta colored fireweed is an indicator of the end of summer when all the flowers to the top of its stem have bloomed. There are still some buds to open, so it's STILL summer. Good thing since we're only halfway through the Dog Days of Summrrr Challenge!

I had said I'd share some of the photos from the hike - so skip to the numbers if you're not interested in this part! (But truly, couldn't do much hiking unless I was erging...keeps us all ready for many adventures).

This is one of my favorite images of an osprey. We had watched this big bird dive into the lake and snag the fish it's carrying. They transfer the fish into an aerodynamic flying position so that it's in line with their body, and then go sit up on a tree or a pole and whack it's head off. Discovery channel, I know. Lots of osprey nests in the chain of little islands that are in the Shadow Mountain Lake.

Image Saw many deer...

Image
Otters swimming near shore kept their little eyeballs on us as we hiked past them...and put on a show.

Book Suggestion

Post by Thor MW » August 14th, 2018, 12:35 pm

Something I came across yesterday. The log page now has some blogs posted. I think this is a great idea. I’ve been reading some when I have the time. I saw one that said 10 Questions With Peter Park. I have no idea who Park is and why I’d even care about his answers to questions I must assume had to do with rowing or skiing or biking. I clicked on it. At the end it talks about two books Park had written and I need this information. I am tight and I don’t move well and I have some hurts I know are related to not being flexible enough. I have been reading the below book first and I plan on reading his first book too. I am trying to figure out the stretches and decided that I will get the print copy with the pics to help figure out the moves. I pretty much agree with his eating suggestions as well. I haven’t decided about the exercising as I haven’t gotten there yet.
I wanted to get this info out there so you guys may benefit from it too. I am ordering both books today. Following is the one from this year.
Funny how things happen at the right time. I was watching a video recently talking about the biggest anti-aging secret. Being Flexible. If we don’t move with ease and we are hunched up and walking like an old person we age. Then comes this book. So, here’s the one I recommend.
Rebound: Regain Strength, Move Effortlessly, Live without Limits At Any Age
Peter Park, Jeff King, Jesse Lopez Low, Jussi Lomakka.

With love from the desk of the Mighty Thor.
Keep on read’n, rock’n and roll’n.

What I've been up to for a long time.

Post by Thor MW » August 14th, 2018, 12:59 pm

Ok folks. Over the last, who knows how long, I've mentioned that I am getting a site together and so on. Everything take so much longer when you are a sightless wonder. Grin. I still have many improvements to make but here's what's going on. I will paste links below but I have no idea if that will work or not. I am using my middle name and not my last name. Frankly I like the ME better than the MW. So it's Michael Edward. I teach people how to reach their level of success, what ever that means to them. So, I'm a personal development coach.
1. Facebook, if the link doesn't work checkout Michael Edward Fan page. I try to update this page 4 times a day. I also plan on doing a couple of live videos a week. Yep, you might wanna follow that page.
2. YouTube, Michael Edward Show. I add a new show every week.
3. main website mepersonaldevelopment.com add the /blog and you have the blog page too. the blog gets updated weekly as well. Also on the home page there's a link to join the email list if you want to do so. I will be selling programs but everything I posted here has no costs.
When I get around to learning how to upload podcasts that will be done. Also I think instigrame will be coming soon and lord knows what else.

If nothing else, you can see me in action. Grin.

Nope - it's just rower or bike erg. My Expedition is the only thing like that that has a nickname - and that wasn't intended. When I first got it, friends would say that's a big ended truck...and since it's the Ranch version, a suggestion was made that I call it Bonanza after the tv show. Ha, I replied, the only thing out of Bonanza that this resembles is Hoss....and so it became Hoss - complete with its name on the receiver cover.
