He is relative better on the ski. And his rowing was pretty ok already

Wow, great time! Always good to see this as it is really motivating and I've not gone for a 2k PB yet this season so may have to try.KeithT wrote: ↑August 1st, 2018, 8:28 amI have tested 4 different rows in the last two weeks and set PRs in all of them. Last night was the 1K and while I was thinking I could PR I wasn't expecting to lower it by 4 seconds when it was already pretty decent but......3:04.9! I have been enjoying setting these PRs but I probably need to just get back to training. I can't tell you how much the longer rows have helped my shorter rows and that's due to advice I got on this forum.
Very very nice congrats.-marius- wrote: ↑August 6th, 2018, 3:57 pmThanks Dangerscouse, hjs and Gammmmo![]()
I don’t think there are any races here in Norway. I think most competitions are in CrossFit?
Not a post without a pb![]()
New 500m pb. Down from 1:21.4 to 1:20.6. Two weeks since the last 500m pb. I did not believe I would ever start thinking about a sub 1:20 500m on the skierg, but need to start now![]()

and I took it in the morning: 30 mins 8222m. It about equals my old age PB from a couple of months back.
However the rankings won't accept the verification code. I did it on the same machine as the 6K
but did not check if the date was set correctly (it was when I did the 6K so it probably still is).
I did it in Frankfurt, Germany about 9:30 in the morning so this means it must be the 10th of August in the States already.
I soldiered on through the entire heat wave which reduced my ability to recover. Yesterday I was finally nearly dead and had to take another rest day and slept ten hours. Now we have two cool days, then it gets warm one last time (I hope).
I absolutely hate the heat!

Thanks Mike. I’m doing 90% skierg at the moment and mainly ss rowing. Doing hard rowing will probably affect my recovery, so staying away from that at the moment.
1min pb on the skierg. 7 days since last 1min pb. Felt a bit dead today after yesterday’s ctc(2079m, pace 1:26.6), but felt I could at least do a 1 min sprint. 2m improvement and finally 380m/sub 1:19 pace.

Well done on the PB Scott. I will have to leave it to others to help with sprint training, I'm no use in helping with thatsdr2017 wrote: ↑August 14th, 2018, 3:18 pmI did a new PB today on the 500 M, 1:40.9. I do not do much sprinting, and I am not sure how to train to improve this time. (I am not sure if I care much, but it is fun to post faster times.) All that being said, I kicked up the SPM far beyond what I would use for a longer distance, and I faded badly. My race strategy was to start fast and keep rowing. I cannot generate this amount of power without going full out. My stroke length is 1.12-1.15 M normally, although it is probably shorter on these very fast strokes.
Any advice for training or race strategy?
