Ergdata additional fields
Re: Ergdata additional fields
Just seen this. I'm using ErgData Android and am finding that I sometimes get df recorded to the logbook, and other times not! Not sure yet if there's any pattern to it e.g. does it record it if I display the middle screen with df, stroke count, drive speed etc? Today, on a fixed distance workout, I displayed the first screen with distance, watts etc and it failed to record df. I edited the workout in the log to say Damper Setting 5 (I hadn't noted the df), re-synched ErgData, and then found the comment was in ErgData but the hr data was deleted (from ErgData; still in the logbook fortunately)!
Also intermittent is that my SkiErg workouts are sometimes recorded as ski workouts but sometimes as row workouts. It does seem to be a bit flaky...

Re: Ergdata additional fields
I have found another app called Float that looks very similar, possibly with one or two additions. I'm going to give it a go and see if it is any better.
It also automatically syncs to your logbook and is available on Android and IPhone

Re: Ergdata additional fields
That's strange. It records DF on mine, when it works, and I use Android (Samsung Galaxy S8)jimmyshand wrote: ↑July 29th, 2018, 2:07 pmSorry to revive this but I can't find an answer to my question of whether with ErgData on Android it is possible for it to record drag factor. When I compare logbooks with people on iOS they seem to have drag factor recorded but it doesn't appear on my log, just:
Average Watts
Calories Per Hour
Stroke Rate
Stroke Count
Anyone know how to get ErgData to record drag factor on Android? I really love working out with ErgData - I use it every time - but this one thing would make it perfect.

Re: Ergdata additional fields
Well good to know it's possible, thanks. I'll just have a tinker with it and see if I can get it to work. I'm using a Galaxy S7 so not much different.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑July 29th, 2018, 4:21 pmThat's strange. It records DF on mine, when it works, and I use Android (Samsung Galaxy S8)

Re: Ergdata additional fields
You won't get drag factor on ErgData if you're using Bluetooth and if the firmware version is 20 or below. If you update to the latest version of the firmware (or if you can't, if you use the USB connection method), this should hopefully solve the issue.

Re: Ergdata additional fields
Thanks a lot for the info, David - really helpful. I have just checked and my PM5 is firmware version 20 so I will have a go at updating it and hopefully solving this problem. I'm actually looking forward to it!

Re: Ergdata additional fields
Just back to confirm that after updating from version 20 to version 27 firmware on the PM5 that drag factor is now uploaded automatically to my log and I will no longer have to do it manually every time in the notes.
Thanks David.
Thanks David.

Re: Ergdata additional fields (painsled rowsandall.com)
Just a shout out to the painsled app which i have started using recently
Captures lots of useful info, and does not prevent the workout from being stored on the C2 logcard
As was mentioned further up this thread, www.rowsandall.com can be used to upload the exported painsled csv files, to provide graphing of basic parameters.
Really good and worth a look (i have no affiliation to either products)
