Sometimes life's events just roll on through like a tsunami, gathering force and sweeping all plans out of the way. Nothing bad - just scope slippage all over the place. Snort.

Meanwhile, the Lunies erged onward and Zach D and Tom R re-entered the orbit! Always great to see returning Lunies on the roster! Imagehas, I'm sure, completed two palindromes and I will do my best to decipher the 19898 m (I believe it to be 7777 and 12121 m ).

Awaiting the arrival of the Bike Erg....noting that it says the thing weighs 58 lbs....going to be like wrestling a retriever down to the basement....uff da and heave ho! Still, I am excited about the prospect, but will spare you a video of the unboxing...hahahaha.

No, no, we all want to see images (real, not virtual) of you wrestling the retriever erg downstairs, and putting it together.
At least the bikeErg won't drool on the basement floor.

What an awesome picture ! Drool happens all.the.time - that's why one of them has the nickname of Slurper. The other's nickname is Noser. I am only slightly concerned about the unboxing and wrestling. Tomorrow...tomorrow...tomorrow. I think.

The Bike Erg arrived yesterday...and it was really heavy. So heavy that I unboxed it on the porch. In fact, by the time I carried in the last bits of it (thank you Concept2 for making it in pieces), a thunderstorm had arrived. It had been a long day, so I decided to wait until today for the assembly, especially after I got stuck on step 1 of 12. Flash forward to today. Minnie queried where I was in the assembly and testing process. At that time, I replied "I'm on step 7 of 10 -- and I'm sweating like a little piggy putting this together." There were actually 12 steps (funny how that corresponds to some other addictive activities!) Alignment of the bolt holes was trickier when you had to hold the two pieces together. Uff da. Time passed, and success happened. The rower is easier to assemble. I can now say that my new Bike Erg IS ALIVE!!!! Inaugural meters have been completed. It does appear to be pretty much a two bike erg meters ratio to one rowing erg meter...just like we thought. I should have gotten one of these a few months ago.

12 steps? My name is danwho and I'm ...
still thinking about it. I see they're starting to introduce the BikeErg into some Crossfit competitions. So I guess that's in addition to the Assault bike.

Image Tis the season....

Lordy, it was a near miss. The pups were on their final outing of the evening yesterday, and Aerie was snorting around the fence line in the back. C'mon, c'mon - we gotta get back in...as I was approaching the deck stairs, the smell wave of Pepe Le Pew hit. Oh man. We raced up the stairs and slammed the slider door. And the smell came with us. Kai was checking out Aerie...whatchoo been into? I left the dogs cordoned off for 20 minutes to see if the smell was going to dissipate or I was going to be getting the deskunker out. Whew. We did escape the blast. Too close for comfort. Too close to breathe deeply. And definitely too close for the windows to be open!
