Hee!Hee! We make quacking noises and think we have feathers, and you're calling us SANE??

Naw, this has been fun so far. Very exciting beginning, right out of the chutes. The last few days of this will probably be quite stimulating as well, hey?

Again, nice job on that 44k yesterday, Capt. Emilia!

--Jen in WI

We're up to 44 logs....
Let's overwhelm the competition with numbers.
Our flock can swarm over them.
If all else fails we're still Cooler...

Go Fowl Play >>>>>------>

I emailed that Fowl Play logo to Dena at Concept 2. I also emailed her another logo. I'm hoping she can add both to our profile. I couldn't get the other logo to come up in this message (maybe I can email it to you, Tom, for you to put up so everyone can see it?). I'm hoping both images can go into our team profile.

Emilia

We really enjoyed it. We went to Conservancy's Nature Center, which we all loved. We got to see a baby alligator and pet a snake.

Emilia

Hey duckies,

YOU did a GREAT JOB so far!!

I've calculated that if we make avg of 7.5k a day per member we can catch up with the ANCIENTS! ( please correct me if i'm wrong! )
But can we do that?
Or is this the most stupid challenge you can think of?

Proud member of team Fowl Play

Keep up the GREAT stuff!

Dear Team members,
I must say that I am incredibly impressed with some of the people that are able to row in excess og 100,000 meters in only a few days. Since I have only been rowing for a few months I don't expect to compete with such veterans (for my own health) but I would like to know about this type of feat. For those of you who have rowed 10's of thousands of meters in a single day, at what rate do you typically row? I guess as long as we're working together we should learn from each others experiences. Thanks for reading.. and replying..

GO FOWL PLAY >>>>---->

Hi there fellow duck!!
I have been rowing for several years.I began rowing in a health club where I was a staff Personal Trainer.We didn't have the Concept2 but it was very similar and was computerized to compete with virtual rowers.I became obsessed with the machine.I then decided that it made such a difference in my own fitness level that I encouraged all my clients to row.Then I was introduced to the Concept2..bought one for my home gym and I have rowed since in my home.I never logged my meters or knew too much about these challenges til the past 3 years or so.I will finish my 3rd million meters with this Virtual Challenge.I try to cross train with other aerobice activites..but with this type of challenge I become driven and spend much time on my rower.I am not really truly skilled in the various speeds etc..strokes etc.I am trying to learn from this forum all the" ins & outs" of true skill.
I have studied the videos of form etc and I am working at getting much better and efficient.I try to row between 29 & 32 spm and keep my damper on about 4 to 5.Too high..I work too anaerobically..too low..I just don't get results heart rate wise and meters/distance.I row by checking my heart rate often..I have the heart rate monitor for my rower.That helps.As a personal trainer I try to keep my fitness level optimal.Rowing helps that.So I row several times a day and catch as many meters as I can.I hope that you enjoy rowing and the challenges set before us.It is the best form of motivation there is, in my opinion,.....GO TEAM!!!!!!

QWACKY( aka Pat from Naples, FL)
I need it today--feeling kinda poopy. Can't get enough oomph up to want to even row...dunno if I'm trying to get sick or what. Might try to do just a short one to see if I feel better, otherwise I'll bail on today. I'm sure not getting much rowing done this week.

--Jen
