@ Ray - you need to get a "signature" line. It's under the FAQ section how to do it. That 10K time is pretty solid! You're making a lot of progress. I'd love to see how you'd do on the full PP after you finish the BPP.

Good Day,
Recovery SS meters today. Very shaky on the HR, but felt good and sweaty.

Cycle 1/ Week 2/ Day 4

10K SS @23spm and HR<140 = 2:08.7 average spm

Getting back into the swing of things.

Have a great day,

Really pleased with my first 4 weeks back on the rower after years away!

BPP 4.4 Did 6000M tonight with another Season Best of 27:10.4 at 22 SPM

So pleased I'm pulling well at 22 and love the fact that guys next to me start fast and strong and within a minute or two can't keep at my speed despite 30SPM!!!

I think the BPP is the best way to get back into it, each week the progression is small but it's there!

Nicely done! You're really making some solid gains with the BPP.

Good Day,
Awesome Job @warnie, pushing hard, great job.

Cycle 1/ Week 2/ Day 5
This is suppose to be a speed distance day, but I opted for 30R20 as I have done so much reading about the strength building and lactic acid removal from doing this. So, no exactly as Pete directs as this days workout should be over 25 spm. Also, if you haven't done this before (I have only done a couple) be warned, it will kick your axx.

30R20 @2:07.7 = 7043 and some really tired legs.

Steady State on Sunday and think I'll do it around 24/25 spm instead of the normal 23.

Have a great day,

Do a proper all out 30r20 and you'll produce plenty of lactate.

PP week 2...5000m hard distance

Based on my recent 7:31 2K , I aimed for a sub 20min 5K. But I couldn't hang onto the 1:59 pace beyond the first 1000m so let it slide a bit. Anyway, its a new PB (by moire than 2 mins but the previous one was very soft) and a target to beat next time. Next hard distance will be 6K and this gives me a good gauge to base that pace on.

Nice work, Robert, and congrats on PB. Looks like the 6k will fall by ~2min as well. Curious, did you warm up at all?

I know you're working hard when your HR goes >140

Good Day,
@robert - awesome job!!

Cycle 1/ Week 2/ Day 6
HM SS @24spm and HR <140 = 2:07.7/500.

This felt really good (or as good as 90 minutes can ever feel) and my HR was nicely controlled throughout with a bit of a blip at the end.

Have a great day,

 Thanks Ray!

Yes I did a 10 min easy pace warm up, including 2 or 3 bursts of 10 strokes down at my target pace

Solid work! I envy y'all that can keep the HR low... and those that do >60'. You did both in 1 session.

Really pleased with today's BPP 5.1 7K row. It felt really good, used a pace to keep it on track so didn't speed up even though I wanted to.

BPP 5.1 7000 23 SPM 31:39.6

Looking forward to tomorrow's session now.
