Recommendations to purchase good quiet cooling fan

Post by HomeCookN » May 18th, 2018, 10:25 am

Well, where I live it's beginning to get hot this time of year and instead of firing up the A/C while I'm erging, I would like to find a small-ish, quiet fan that could be placed at the front of my Model E to create a bit of a cooling breeze. I can imagine a fan with some type of clamp-like base which could be attached to the erg's flywheel housing.

In general, how do you guys with more experience keep cool when erging and specifically, can you recommend a good fan for this purpose?

Wow, this look like exactly what I want. Do you know if affects the drag factor at all?
Thanks a lot for your help!

+1 for the cbreeze...
dragfactor needs to be readjusted after fitting (typically 10-20 units lower after)

I'm a little confused on the drag factor. I'm assuming that you mean that the cbreeze will increase the drag factor. Is that correct?

The C-Breeze means you have to knock the damper lever up one notch (from four to five on the arbitrary fan cage scale).
