14 yr old holds all records for his age group
I ran into this C2 tweet https://twitter.com/concept2/status/991736950502633473 about a kid who now holds every record in his age category. The kid is fast. Oh, he is also 6'5" and 190 lbs.

Yeah, but I'm 55 years old, so I can still call him a punk.Remo wrote:The kid is fast. Oh, he is also 6'5" and 190 lbs.
Congrats and good luck to Isaiah - he's obviously a monster.

Re: 14 yr old holds all records for his age group
That's funny. I'm 61 and I call my 16 year old "a punk" because he can beat me at 100m. At this point I can beat him at everything else -- he only weighs 145 lbs. Pretty soon though he is going to pass me on everything. But I will make sure he earns it.Ombrax wrote:

Really happy that he is in Sub-7 ... the only one of his PBs I am anywhere near is his FM ... and that was a few years ago.
Re: 14 yr old holds all records for his age group
He pulled this as well last month. World record for age group 15-16.

6'5" ? at 14?
Yeah, I'm a little jealous...I'd love to have the #1 spot in any category for my age group. I keep asking myself how much better I'd do if I were taller, but then I realize, I probably would have played basketball or something...

Nah, basketball has about the highest injury rate of any youth sport. Rowing's a lifetime-sport that's much easier on your body and you'll thank your younger self when you're 70+ and still able to get out on the water
