It should turn off after four minutes (unless a USB cable is connected).

There is a 12 hour function that keeps the monitor on for longer events. Is there a "12H" indicator on the Main Menu screen, right below Main Menu? If so you can turn it off by going to More Options; Utilities; Battery. Now press the Units key three times then press the Display key three times to toggle the 12 hour function. This should not have been on when you received the machine.

It might also be a stuck key keeping the monitor on which would warrant a new monitor.

Do you use ErgData or a Bluetooth heart rate belt? Even after a workout is complete it could be a Bluetooth signal pinging it, in which case the BLE symbol will be displayed in the upper right corner of the Main Menu. Does it shut down if you hit the Menu key four times from the Main Menu screen? This is one way to disconnect the BLE signal.

If it's none of the above I'd try pulling the batteries for a few minutes to see if this resets the monitor and solves the issue.

Call tech support to sort this out- the monitor should normally shut down on it's own. C2JonW

awesome advices.
i dont have the 12H indicator and i cant changed under "battery" anything.
i use Ergdata but i turn off the BT once im done. not using any other BT device.
what did solve the issue was battery change.
i changed the batteries and it looks like its turning off by itself after few minutes.

Thanks again for the awesome advices!
