Thanks for the Happy Sheep Honey, Dan.

And thanks, all, for the congrats on my passing 10 MM meters lifetime. My sweatshirt came. It's rather huge. Maybe it will be a good winter night shirt.

It's pretty cold, windy and rainy here in NJ. I suspect it's the same up in Boston for Barb's marathon. Barb trains in all kinds of nasty weather. Maybe that will be an advantage for her today.

As the race began in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, this morning, the temperature was a chilly 40 degrees with a wind chill of 29 degrees, and wind gusts reached 30 mph.

Well, this will be one to remember.... Goooooooo bg!!!

They were tough conditions. It's good that you listened to your little inner-voice saying ... whoooa, enough of this! Sleep well.

You are amazing for going as far as you did. I'm with Minnie--glad you decided to stop.

Great effort Barb, tough weather yesterday.
I'm in Boston too.
It took me five minutes to scrape the global warming from my windshield

All IN ! Team Progress Thru 4.16.18

Post by Kona2 » April 17th, 2018, 10:45 am

Image Image Way to finish the WEC, Lunies!

Another fine top 10 finish, Lunies! We celebrate all of them!

Image bg earns another running shoe award for competing in the Boston Marathon....again! Weather conditions were particularly nasty for this one .... not one where people were likely to get overheated, that's for sure. I'm thinking that learning when to stop is just as important as other parts of training...

Meanwhile, another day and another box of Kleenex. Uff da. That's a batch of days that I won't get back! When I checked in (sort of) a couple of days ago, I realized that I had totally lost the 14th...which seemed kind of scary, but true. Hopefully, Shaun is recovering better with this stuff...aided by the medicinal Manuka Honey. I've received some unexpected assistance in pet management from.....squirrels! Pups get walked EVERY day...but not for the last five. Good thing there are squirrels to keep them busy running up and down the deck stairs...the white globe things are solar lanterns...

Taking yourself out of the race was probably difficult but sounds like it was brutal. Every race I've ever run I've learned something about myself - I'm sure this one will be no exception bg!

My meters update - 40103 is 15051 + 25052... Two palindromes that almost added up to a 3rd...dang
