Back Rowing - Would love a team!

Post by warnie » April 16th, 2018, 4:49 pm

Hi guys,

started back rowing two weeks ago and slowly increasing my distances and time spent on the machine. At the moment I'm stuck with using the gym machine but in the process of building my own gym at home to help with fitness (getting a Concept E and Wattbike ATOM) Looking for a team I can contribute to and have a little fun at the same time, I'm vertically challenged (please don't hold that against me - oh and Welsh too!!) so will never post the super human times most of you do but I do try hard! I have managed a marathon in the past and would love to get back to some form and do another long distance - at least a HM.

Will psot my PB's in my signature once I've worked how to upload the image!

Thanks

Warnie

have a look at the Forum Flyers thread immediately below here - mixed group from all over the place. You would be very welcome and we do all the challenges. (although we are a bit deficient in ladies at the moment!

Welcome aboard, Warnie. We're a taff or two short at the moment. You'll do fine! Serious home gym you're building. Enjoy.

Thanks both, will sign up later. Thanks for the replies. Jackrabit - yes hopefully it's going to be good. Just sorting out tech kit now - might as well make it as nice as possible. Fed up of my local gym!

Are you talking about the team challenges which I do whenever I hear about them? Or the CTC?

I am honestly not sure what the CTC is. Where do I find that out? I am a bit erratic in my erg use as I am primarily a runner, but do like to use it as a cross-training tool. My spring marathon is over (it was cold, wet, and windy) and I have some time off before I begin training for the fall marathon season, so maybe I can help reduce the "deficiency" at least for a time.

Shortage of ladies Is chronic in the Cross-Team Challenge. Not certain why this should be as the girls have “favored gender” status in that no boat “floats” (is awarded points) until one lady is aboard.

http://c2ctc.com. Check the FAQ on the site. You will have questions about registration, rules of the game. Ask them here in team subforum or in competition subforum. Please join us (Forum Flyers) or team of choice for these monthly “sprinty” challenges. Change of pace from the ultra distance effort. I take it your marathon is the OTR sort rather than OTE.
