Hit 6:57.3, with pretty even splits. 1:43 for the first and last 500s and 1:45 for the middle 2.
Pretty happy with this. I didn't even have a good kick left so I definitely went 100% all out on this one.

Sorry for posting so much here, but did 1000m today and posted a 3:14.4
This was the last time trial I'll do for a month or so! So I won't be spamming this thread for a while :)

Never apologise for posting so much. It's never bad in my view

Wow, great time VirginiaRower! I did a little 1k test today and managed to improve my PB to 3.21.8, though I think I have a bit more in the tank as I'd only rate it about 7 out of 10 for pain. Also recently did sub-7 (just) but I don't know if I will be doing 3:14.4 any time soon! But I'll certainly try.

I decided to try another 1k max effort today (not sensible before work but I was curious after last attempt to see if I could go faster) and managed 3:19.9, r29 at 1:39.9 at DF of 135, which is a good bit higher DF than I normally row at.

200m splits as follows

1:41.5 r30
1:40.5 r28
1:39.5 r30
1:39.0 r29
1:29.2 r32

Rate was a little too variable I think but I was just trying to keep going any way I could. Happy with this because didn't leave anything in the tank and pacing was sensible.

Really lots and lots more in you, if you can speed up that much. Think you are closer to 3.12 if you really go 100%.

Oops! I meant 1:39.2 sadly. Still a negative split but I have never pulled 1:29.2 yet so I think I ought to type more carefully. I will keep trying though.

Aaahh, that makes more sense.. Should have spotted the typo. Congrats B)

For stuff like this rating up can help, but is tough. 1k is a very nasty distance. Beyond 700m it really kills us.

Going sub 1:40 for the 1K is great!

Thanks lancecampeau, I was a bit surprised but glad I got it and am now also wondering if I've been using too low a DF on 2k (usually use about DF115-120 for 2k as that always felt best).

Great effort Jimmy. Df is always worth playing around with until you find your preference. You will rate up as you tire, so that's not a surprise.

Managed to make 6832m in 30min df110 sr27. Nice! At my early stage PB's are easy to come by... I wasn't even aiming for anything special. I'd like to get over 7k, so that I'll only be 1k behind Rod . Just need to keep dialling in those kilometers.

Ok so new to all the forum thing but have been using both rower and ski erg for a while mainly to warm up for other sessions.
However thought I would do a 10km effort on the ski erg.

Result 38:25.3

Happy with that for a 48 year old.

Great going. As you say, keep banking the metres and 7km won't be far off. It's always good to set a PB
