Do you see graphs in your logbook?

Post by estragon » March 28th, 2018, 3:20 pm

On the C2 website (http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/m ... ok-ranking) there's an illustration of the online logbook that includes a graph representing stroke data.

I can find the matching page in my logbook but have no graph. Does anyone here see this graph? Is there some setting I need to turn on, or is it a phantom feature?

Thanks.

You get the graphs with Ergdata on your cell phone.

I've only been using my new Model D for a week but yes, I see graphs of the workouts I've uploaded via ErgData.

(Each split or interval has its own graph for the workouts submitted.)

You can get the graphs also with boatcoach, painsled and probably rowpro.

OK, thanks everyone. Here's the situation --

I've had ErgData on my iPad for a while but not really used it as I couldn't see any big advantage over transferring via USB (and which seemed a bit more reliable). But I just used ErgData and synced -- and there we are, the graphs appear. The USB transferred workouts seem not to generate the graphs. It's not retrospective i.e. the sync didn't refresh all the previous workouts and make graphs available. I'll have to try to work out if this is possible.

Yes you get the graphs now in RowPro as well, very nice.

The only issue is STILL no stroke counter. Been waiting like 10 years for this most basic of measurements.

RowPro has confessed stroke rate with stoke count. The average stroke rating from the Concept 2 monitor is WAY OUT.

Ergdata gives you all the information you need including a stroke count.

I just reminded myself why I haven't used ErgData much. Had a 2000m row this morning, and turned on ErgData and paired it successfully. All was going well until about two-thirds of the way in when the screen just froze and stopped registering any activity. After the session I couldn't get it to wake up so just had to swipe it closed (on iPad).

I had my USB to hand and didn't lose the data but it's a nuisance that I can't seem to rely on the app -- and again data uploaded via USB doesn't seem to include the graphs. I had this ErgData issue once or twice previously which is why I went off it. Has anyone had a similar experience? The erg and iPad are right alongside my router so it can't be a fuzzy signal.

USB logging doesn't have graphs because it only records the average at the end of each split and at the end of the workout. There's no continuous data writing to the USB while you're working out. I read somewhere that continuous USB logging is being worked on, but that was years ago and it probably needs tons of work.

For ErgData to be reliable make sure you're using the latest version of ErgData on your phone/tablet and the PM5 (4) should also be on the latest firmware. I had a lot of trouble so I used USB for about a year until Concept 2 did the big update near the end of last year which fixed everything up for me. Now I leave the USB plugged in as a backup, but use ErgData for logging and uploading.

The latest beta firmware for PM5 25.006 also seems to make Bluetooth connect faster. Not sure if more reliable though.

I gave up on the BT connection because of frequent drops, even with the latest firmware. ErgData with wired connection is flawless https://www.concept2.com/skierg/accesso ... ection-kit
