I was impressed that perhaps he had decided to be a contributing member of the community ... it seemed a tiger could change his stripes, so to speak.

Well, I should have known ... it was just a delay while he dreamed up some more crap to throw at the wall and see if it would stick. He spent the time in fantasy land dreaming about convicting Dwayne ... whether Dwayne was guilty or not.

Now, we have "CAD2" ... and it's the same crap but different day. No more data, no more fact ... just crap.

You'll notice the abbreviation that I used. It was purely coincidence. But, it seems like the longer the "CADs" go on, the bigger the "CAD" Chad gets to be. First CAD1, now CAD2. Twice the cad, in one old Chad.

C'mon Sad, Cad, Chad: PRODUCE THE GOODS!!!

I don't think the consultant would have been too impressed with what I did but all felt well in warm up so thought I would go for it. My back was a bit sore afterwards, I think I was slightly twisted to ensure not too much pressure applied through the right foot. To mark my return I decided to do this in my AIO, its inaugral row. I can tell it will be quick.

Not convinced I can/should do the Rugby test but everything is meant to be back to normal by 20th March. I then just need to build my CV up again. Don't think I will be ready for London but Evesham could be good.

Phil

Hey Phil, be careful coming back too quick after your injury!!!! Don't load on the KMs too fast.

BTW I have pointedly asked on the CTC site if slides are cool or not, and am popping over there in a sec to see if anyone has come up with a "ruling". If they aren't I won't use them for the challenges but it will probably limit how often I try them since it's safer for me to row with them. Plus just putting my erg on and off the slides is not so comfy since I can't really bend and lift, so it's kind of awkward. I do intend to do all my 2Ks without slides, though, because I will need to feel good about how a 2K goes on a regular erg at Crash B next year. It will be scary enough being in a real race without having that other adjustment to make.

Everybody chill out....let's just all row like mad and get rid of the excess energy that way...it will be better for all of us than spending hours reading reams of endless mean idiotic baloney.

Friends:

OK, I've booked my frequent flyer award ticket for being there for Evesham. Arrive July 6th late, depart July 11th late.

Mama has blessed the trip, although she fears she won't have enough holidays to join me, but may get it worked out last minute.

Now, I need a Taff AIO, or I would feel out of place. How do I procure one, and can anyone near my size (Niall?) tell me what size to order?

This will be great motivation to keep training as the weather gets nice here.

Thanks -- Mark

I raced Saturday, took Sunday off, did 2 recovery rows yesterday (about 10K total in two 5K pieces, strapless and easy), and tried the 300M today. I felt like crap afterward, and did a 20'@20SPM piece that was miserible the entire way ... slow, painful, sweaty ... every pull was an effort. And the pace was 2:09.3, when my very best 30'@20SPM pace is 2:06.2 ... so it was not a very taxing or speedy workout by that standard.

Most of you here that are anywhere near my age have been rowing longer than me, so are more fit, and maybe you recover faster. I have another race on Sunday, and I'm thinking that scheduling two races two weeks in a row is probably something that it's not wise to do again, if it truly takes me 3 or 4 days to recover. What's the point? How could it be possible to improve much, or at all, if it's 3 or 4 days to recuperate? Then, one or two "real" days of training, a day off, and another race. And that assumes the first race is on Saturday, and the second is on Sunday.

Your thoughts?

Thanks -- Mark
