Day 8 or 9 of 31....slog away!!
Just when you think the numbers couldn't get any BIGGER...they do! In fact, I thought for sure that the numbers would start dwindling today as some fell off Concept2's Challenge Island. After all, when it's day 8 and there's only 1 day of results listed....well, you've used up ALL six of the "extras." It appears the day of reckoning will have to wait. And speaking of days of reckoning, might see a glitch or two in yer daily totals today. Appears that I didn't save 3/7/18 properly....the hurrier I go, the behinder I get. Snort. Happens.

Day 9 or 10 of 31.....still two-thirds of the Challenge to go!
NO WAY! But yes. The number of participants CLIMBED again today! Now seriously. Just how many people are saying "oh I'd better put those meters into the mix?" Still, today is National Get Over It Day so I'm over it. Who knew there was a day for this? And is there only one?

Day 10 of 31....and it's the beginning of the ski jump formation!!
And I also get to indulge my inner data geek...but I won't go crazy with awesome looking graphs ... this is just a quick and colorful
In contrast (literally), the Lunies will NOT be participating in the ski jump this year. Or any previous year chronicled. This is the power of being on a team - NO ONE wants to drop out of a Challenge...although there are some extenuating circumstances like training for the Boston Marathon...we will have a few fall off the Island, but not 75 percent....
Lest your eyes glaze over, we'll move on now to more traditional reporting of your stellar achievements from yesterday!

Whoop, whoop and WOW! Congratulations, Ed! We say that many, MANY times here! Congratulations, Ed, on achieving a special 8 million meter season! We wish you many, many more millions...but you don't have to get them all in the same year!
Thanks Kona! I got the last meters in to get my 8 mil for the season before I left to come surprise my son for his 7th Birthday. Great tearful reunion for both to say the least! I met them here in Orlando for the week of Universal and Disney adventure overload. Having a great time for sure. No Rowing this week but plenty of walking. I also surpassed 48 mil life time meters on my last row. Always fun to see the meters accumulate.
Happy Rowing all,
Ed
