Paul Flack put in a powerful CTC effort for FF today. Check it out. Also welcome Ameliabrazilia and Teppenstein to FF! Who could have guessed that Burrito Mike would come with his own team! Thanx Mike.

So with mud challenge do you need to submit a 5000m or does it submit anything 5000m up for you?

You lost me with 3 x 15 Jack...jackarabit wrote:No one should feel obligated to do 3x15' simply to honour the sacred superlative adjective. Pick your poison for pacing. I shall treat as 30' TT with a restful nap midway.
I'm thinking I might like to be able to take note of the splits for the first row so I can then know what to match (or beat) during the second. (E.g. for a 15' row, I would probably use 3' or 5' splits.) AFAIK, this cannot be done with the time interval option. Only thing I can think of is to do it as two separate fixed time rows of 15' each using a separate timer for the rest.
Thoughts anyone? Do things like ErgData, RowPro etc help out re seeing that kind of additional info when doing the row?

Use var. intervals if you want more info. Say 10x3min reps, zero rest, with the longer rest after the fifth rep.Paul N wrote:You lost me with 3 x 15 Jack...jackarabit wrote:No one should feel obligated to do 3x15' simply to honour the sacred superlative adjective. "Record the distance rowed for the slowest of your 15 minute rows"Paul N wrote:You lost me with 3 x 15 Jack...
The use of the word "slowest" grammatically indicates there are at least three items. The post should have read "slower" as that indicates two. There was some jokery about it over in the CTC thread

Wee bit o' riffing on Lindsay's pedantry, Paul. Comparison of two apples, two oranges, two reps of fifteen minutes requires use of the comparative adjectives juicier, sweeter, slower respectively. Ranking of three or more of a kind requires use of the superlative adjectives juiciest, sweetest, slowest. Backing up a few posts, Lindsay was observed exercising his grammatical hobbyhorse in THIS thread.

Mud challenge - 1 of 24
Quick question... My profile shows Forum Flyer as my Team affiliation - but that affiliation is not reflected on the Mud Challenge Honor Board? How would I fix that?
Thanks
Any other Mudders checkin' in?

Re: Forum Flyers
I checked both the Virtual Team Challenge from January and the affiliation meter totals for Luke Haymond. Luke is listed no.25 of 27 Flyers in the VTC with 0 meters recorded. Not listed in the FF Affiliation standings.
Luke, if you rowed your 5k or more today, your name should be in the Mud Season list with a numeral 1 in the extreme right hand column indicating days rowed tally. I agree with Henry; check your profile to make certain you joined Flyers affiliation.

I see my entry on the Honor Board, but there is no "affiliation". If I pull up my profile Forum Flyers is listed.... search by Forum Flyers, and you will see my entry does not show????jackarabit wrote:@lhaymond: Just now checked Mud Season 5k/day. You’re in there now, buddy.

Have you gone to "Edit Profile" and selected FF for your affiliation? It's a separate step from joining the team...lhaymond wrote:I see my entry on the Honor Board, but there is no "affiliation".
