Flyweight is 112lb (50.8Kg) according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weight_class_(boxing)

Hunh. I thought flyweight could mean that you'd fly away if exposed to a gentle breeze ... eat more marshmallow fluff sammies, Lunie-girl!

Congrats on participating in and finishing the Crash-B's. Hooyah.
thanks and just ate a fluffernutter :}

Your results were mixed into the lightweight men's category accidentally - it's kind of a confusing results section to navigate on the CRASH B's, but you were indeed listed!

Since it is difficult to line up a copy and paste on this one, I have highlighted the segments according to color. Black is the first 500 m, red is the second 500 m, purple is the third segment, and the final total is in blue.

Thanks, again, bg, for participating in the CRASH B's and making it a lot more real for the Lunies!

Whoooosh!!! That's the sound of you and your erg flying through ANOTHER month!
Image
And nothing says March quite like FREE. Yes, during this next 31 days, everyone will be working hard to put in at least 5K and on special days 10 K, to try and grab a freebie via Concept2. At least one of these unknown prizes will land at a Lunie doorstep...because that's the way the odds work out when you have a motivated-to-win team! More erging means more chances. In fact, you might be entering a winning entry TODAY. Meanwhile, for the rest of us, you can earn a shamrock graphic for 5K and a pot of gold graphic for a 10K. I know. But it's the little things that bring us joy....and the chance of bigger things that keep us hoping.

Image Get on your erg and do some mud-slinging! Turn that fanwheel so fast that the er...space dust...flies right off of it.

i've been asked how i ended up rowing with the guys by several teammates off line so here goes....when i applied for the crash-bs i filled out the form..they always ask for your weight...i didn't see anything about weight categories...it turns out this year they added flyweight...it was in the rules but i just quickly looked at the rules to make sure when the weigh in times were and totally missed that.....soooooooo..i'm looking at a preliminary schedule of events....being old i'm in a very early heat...when they finally placed me in a heat i found out that was rowing at 11:45...didn't notice the fw...i emailed the crash-bs and wendy got back to me and explained that i was placed by weight and not age...i asked if i could be placed by age and wendy said the only seat left was with the guys and i said i'd take it...the guys near me were great...when they were finished rowing they cheered me on with one fellow reminding me to breathe :}
