How do I locate an erg I can use when in another country?
How do I locate an erg I can use when in another country?
...that isn't in North America. The blurb on the C2 website provides international contact emails and says to use that but I'm not holding out much faith in it...

Find gyms, contact them, often there is something to find. On the other hand, if not, so what, be creative, lots of other things to do. A break can do you good.Gammmmo wrote:...that isn't in North America. Walk, airsquats, pushups, hire a bike, gyms are everywhere, go a few times. Up untill 10 days without rowing
I would not fear much loss, back home you pick things up rapidly. Its in your head, simply stay fit overall, if so there is nothing to fear.

the C2 Locator does work in some places. I use google and contact local gyms close to destination. Crossfit is a good start as they pretty much all have C2 rowers and don't mind casual visitors - just spent 2 weeks using one in Brussels.Gammmmo wrote:...that isn't in North America. Re: How do I locate an erg I can use when in another country
when i was away at Xmas i just rang the local gyms and crossfit gyms to see if A. they did casual and B. did they have Concept machines and C. what the cost was.
of the 4 that i rang 1 didnt have concept machines 2 were so expensive i nearly crapped myself ($35-50 per session) and the 4th while more expensive than my usual gym was ok ($30 per week). my usual gym here at home costs me $12 per week and i have access to 5 gyms depending on where i feel like going.

Just a quick "big up" for this place, BeachGym San Agustin, which I used on hols (10 euros / day) in the Canary Islands and was superb:

Ran down there with the missus from our hotel, quick 10KM on the erg, some free weights, ran back. Felt really good after not exercising for a few days there.
