Wow 1:45 pace for a 60 mins TT?!?! Great effort on the 6k. I hate that distance almost as much as 30r20remisture wrote:Went out too hot on my 60 min TT yesterday. Handle down after 24 min, but PR’d unofficially both 20 min (5663 m) and 6k (21:10 min), so just need to pace smarter next time![]()

Great job!RWAGR wrote:Inspired by Tom I too decided to take on 30', which I too hate.
My previous PB was 7819. Slow next to my other times but for some reason I couldn't crack it...
... until today where I obliterated it by 149m to set a new PB of 7968. Ultimately, this is still 32m off my goal for the season so I shouldn't really be celebrating, but I feel very happy to have made up so many meters towards the magic 8k. I feel that my longer aerobic work is paying off and that 8000 really is in my sights now.
Congratulations!
Good luck on getting to the 8 km soon.

Remi, first off - congrats on a strong PB!remisture wrote:Crushed my old 10k PR of 36:12. Perfect pacing!?![]()
Question (from a proponent of negative split strategies): what predictors were you using to set an hour-attempt pace of 1:45 and your 10k early pace of 1:46?

Remi, second off, looks positive-ly painful!

Nice one (again!) Remi. Been training hard, or been on the hot sauce? (joke)
P.S. Have you had time away from erging and then resumed training? I sometimes think that might be a good strategy to re-set the mind (many people including me get hung up I reckon on what we think we can and can't do) and prevent HDs etc...

Ski TT for me. 60min 150.8 16245m. Rate 38 drag 129
Paced it just right. 151 ish mostly, 50/55min, bit slower, hard last min, 133 ish at the finish.

I can barely get 1:50 for a single stroke.

Have my skierg now for 9 months. Started out around 1.54 ish pace in 5k, after a few weeks. Have been using it serious 50/50% with the rower. Have trained from sept 6 times a week, slowly building the meters. Now doing around 12k per session, excluding wu/cd. No fluf meters...
So it is paying off to work relative hard.
