OK I was going to do a fast 5K today but I'll hit it again. Last night we needed 18 m each to catch #2. Guess I better check how many I have to try to add on.

I am sorry to say it is almost 80 meters ( average ) so you need to add 400.

I am math challenged today I guess. I just subtracted and forgot it was an average but then divided my answer by 5. Duh!

Tried to do another shot at 30@20 but I just didn't have it. I was on schedule to do it but around 15 minutes just crapped out. I think that 5K I had been planning on was too much on my mind. So I did that instead and got a PB by about 18 seconds. For a change I just went totally free rate, no 10MPS or anything and it was 1:56.7 at av 29 spm. That is actually faster than my 2K PB pace, snort snort. The higher rating was easier and harder at the same time. It felt like nothing until the last 1K and then I actually stopped I think 6 times and did some 100s at 10MPS and then did some silly ricocheting short little idiotic strokes and then finally finished pretty strong. Up to 994 Nonathlon points.

The first 2K came out to 7:51.4, only 3 seconds slower than my old 2K PB.

I'll do the 30 min. piece next week when I'm revved up for it. It just doesn't pay to try switching your workout plan at the last minute if you really had a goal in mind.

Totally agree with you about it not paying to switch your workout plan at the last minute. We often forget how much of a mental challenge it is.

On a seperate note, that 2K PBs gotta go Carla !!

Sadly, we can't take whales out of the Thames, either. At least, not without letting 'em die. Poor, lost thing.

A pity it didn't make it ... all because of a wrong turn, so to speak.

-- Mark

Great 2K row Dwayne!!!!!

You have to "edit" work out in order to enter your Verification code. Once you do that it will show up with the IND_V and of course the #1. Because you've already ranked it, you will have to rank it again, because editing it takes it out.

So on crutches for at least the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Apparently I have fractured the top of the Tibia, but not dislodged any bone, provided I am careful this will heel with no further damage.
I have crushed and slightly ruptured the cartilidge but although may never fully rebuild it is best left as it is rather than remove the damaged part and left with nothing.
The Medial ligament is partially ruptured but it is at the top and should heel itself without any lasting damage.
Finally the cruciate ligements show some sign of stress but not ruptured.

The quads are wasting away rapidly but I finally have an idea of the extent of the damage and a realistic timescale on when I should be active again.

Best of Luck to everyone in their CTC attempts, I'll be doing my bit as soon as I can.

Regards
Phil

I have fractured one kneecap, and dislocated my other knee twice, so I'm a little squeamish where the legs are concerned. O_o
