First Virtual Team Challenge

Post by [old] Rd2053 » January 7th, 2006, 1:05 pm

Good morning all. I'm facinated with watching our progress across the Atlantic. Over 1 million meters in the first week. WTG everyone!!! As a total beginner (started on 12-18-05), it's amazing to me to see the numbers put up by the more experienced rowers among us and other teams. If we stay on track, we should be on track to hit Europe in our third week. That is so cool.
Jim, how many members do we have? I'll bet that I'm the only one from Nebraska in the USA!!
Anyway, Keep up the good work everyone. I hope to add even more meters as I get in better shape. Bob.

The RMS Titanic left Southampton on 10th April 1912 and was due into New York on 15th April.

When one of my colleagues took the QE2 to NY and Concorde back, his voyage also took 5 (25hour) days. They use 25 hour days (E to W) to avoid the timezone struggles.
