I am getting a fairly consistent “clunking” noise while pedaling the BikeErg. It seems to be related to the drivetrain as the noise stops when I stop pedaling. It is periodic (one clunk per pedal rotation). I have rechecked the crank arms and they are properly tightened.
What else should I check?

Tomorrow, pick up the phone call 1-800 245 5676 and ask the very nice folk at Concept2 for support.
Re: Clunking noise when pedaling
Update for anyone else experiencing similar symptoms: the folks in product support said that it can be caused by one of two issues - crank bolt too loose or there is an updated bearing (the silver piece behind the crank arm). Mine was not a crank arm tightness issue so they are sending out a replacement bearing to test.
Re: Clunking noise when pedaling
The replacement bearing assembly was installed just now. I did a quick test ride and didn’t hear any of the “clunking” noise. I’ll do a more thorough test tomorrow and verify that this did solve the problem.

Seems to be fixed. It’s a easy replacement. Hardest part is getting the crank arm off!
