Bulging temple arteries
Re: Bulging temple arteries
Nah i won't be selling the rower.
It's too much of a good thing... i couldn't be without it! I'm just frustrated is all.
The neighbour thing should be resolved soon.
Jason's temple arteries show a lot like mine do... i would gather they don't concern him either. It's just something you have to accept when you become fit/low body fat and workout regular etc. I wish i could not let it bother me.

Re: Bulging temple arteries
Those, in that photo, don't look bad to me at all. I doubt I'd have noticed them if not the topic of this thread. I don't even view those negatively (they have a certain appeal - a badge of honor, if you will).Anth_F wrote:Nah i won't be selling the rower...

I work with a guy who has no (no) hair on his head. No eyebrows, no eyelashes, no hair. After all these years I honestly don't even notice it and nobody talks about it, so I think all our many co-workers don't notice it either. Just becomes part of that person and that's that.
I myself am bald on top and graying on the sides. I'm missing all the toes on one foot, and part of that foot, yet I never think of it. It's been that way for 54 years (lawnmower accident when I was very young). Even when I shower and wash that foot the fact that it's different than my other one and different than everyone else's never crosses my mind. I have scars from sewn-up motorcycle crash wounds, I'm somewhat overweight, etc. I can work on the weight issue but the rest is what it is.
It's your affair to do with as you please, of course, but personally I'd do the workouts I wanted to do and forget everything else. (Stated with all due respect. )

Ant. Is that all you talk about? Everybody has those, only when your head is covered in fat you won,t. Mine are exactly like those. The more vains are visible, the better imo.
Re: Bulging temple arteries
Thanks for sharing that, Steve. I know, there is a lot worse things than this some people have.
I think as you age they become more visible. Seems very noticeable on older peeps! Of course everyone has them, Henry. they are the arteries that supply the blood to your scalp Just not everyones stick out like a sore thumb. I personally hate the look (ugly/unattractive) IMO.
Anyway, i'm gonna try and not let them bother me and continue to enjoy the erg

Being fit & healthy i must admit makes me feel happy most days. No way i wanna go backwards to the lazy unfit overweight days and feeling like crap and depressed a lot, like i was before i discovered the wonderful world of rowing on the C2

Good one Henry. Thanks. It's been awhile since I saw a version of that.

Re: Bulging temple arteries
funny, my hairline comes within about an inch of my eyebrows around the temples (and seems to increasingly spread down my back these days HA). I see the veins buried in there, but I'm simply too furry for them to be noticeable.
Anth -- perhaps you need some of those hair plug things. Be sure to post pics when you get them done!
