Just limp off Jack (that sounds a bit sad really) - the old team will just not have any active members and the new one will jut be those who have specifically joined it so should be fine.
It is good to see you back Piers - hope things will go smoothly as you get the training back in order - the IRL hopefully gives you some motivation (as will the CTC)

Rolf - yes I eventually was able to see you had shifted but still hard to get all the ducks lines up but it should be OK

It looks like we will have a team to play with at least!!

Great news, and with no reserve bench the pressure is on to deliver a result every month! Should be enough motivation for me (unlike a couple of years ago where I faded away mid-competition after swearing that I was worth my place in the Flounderers because of my consistent monthly delivery).

Cheers
Dave

Good to see you back Dave :)
The IRL website has been down for the last 36 or so hours, but is back up and running this morning. I saw Ewen had registered a score and so I have directed him in to the High Flyers 17. Terry's name is still not appearing though! The good news is that Sebastien has extended the deadline for registering the 4 mins. to 12.00 noon GMT on Tues 3rd Oct.

Thanks Georgie
The site is back up and seems to be working but the High Flyers 17 team don't seem to be listed in the rankings even tho it is listed in the teams that you can join.
I sent a message to Sebastien at news@indoorrowers.org as listed on the site but it has just bounced back as unknown address!! (the whole process is really irritating I am afraid)
Do you have a different address that you use? I am missing something?

You really need to contact him via facebook I'm afraid. I have tried emailing before now with no success. Does one of the team use fb regularly? If so, it's best they become spokesperson. The IRL have a fb page, and you get a better response there than if you pm him. Here's the link:

Yes I can see that - excellent work all - now we just have to get in to the habit of competing each month!

On holiday this week, but will definitely be putting in some IRL and CTC times when I get back home on the weekend.

Cheers

IRL - entering and updating results

Post by Paul N » October 5th, 2017, 7:56 am

Does the IRL site allow an updated result to be entered and used instead of the first/previous result entered for the monthly challenges? Just wondering whether to enter yet my first attempt or wait until I've done what I think will be my best.

That's good - thanks Georgie. Attempt last night was a bit of a fly and die, but did manage to summon a sprint for the final couple of hundred metres.

Completed the IRL one mile for this month in 5:44.9 @32 spm which is 1.3s faster than I managed last year, but it was a pretty hard effort involving searching for my lungs afterwards. Not sure there is much room for improvement, I will see how the c2ctc goes to see if I give the mile another go.

I also am part of the LWT facebook group, and this month is a 60 min row, which I did yesterday for 14434m which is a pb and also a nice load of meters for the Fall Team Challenge.
Piers 53m was 73Kg 175cm to 2019 now 78kg
500m 1:34 (HW 2020) 2k 7:09.5 (2017 LWT) 10k 39:58.9 (2016 LWT) HM 1:28:26.9 (2017 LWT)
