Re: Bulging temple arteries

Hard exercise and low fat....badge of honour the result IMO. Erg on!

Re: Bulging temple arteries
Haha erg on indeed
I got a bit scared after that 45 min sesh, wondering have i got to now cut down on the long endurance stuff as a result. But now i am at ease knowing it's normal, and just basically down to hard exercise and low body fats.

Re: Bulging temple arteries
Since i haven't erged in the last few days those unsightly bulging temple arteries have gone completely down
Everytime i do an erg session they bulge up and stay pretty apparent even 2 days after when i would again do another erg session, so basically would always be there. They show up real bad under light and make me so self conscious.
Wish there was a way to erg and not have this issue. Left temple one seems to go away few hours after, but right temple stays there. Like i say since i've not erged or done anything too strenuous last few days they have gone down completely.

Re: Bulging temple arteries
@Anth - it's increased blood flow (bit like a pump from weights) and body trying to get rid of heat. Quite why you're worrying about it I don't know....just crack on. Who wants to be an Average Joe anyway?

Re: Bulging temple arteries
Why am i worrying about it? Are you kiddin meee? It looks fookin horrible... like a worms trying to crawl out of your head. Just google it... i'm not the only one worried about it. Some people go under the knife to have it taken care of! But it's an extremely dangerous procedure that only certain few surgeons will operate. And i bet costs a kidney to have it done too.
Think i might pack in rowing for a bit tbh. What with this and the pissy neighbours these seem like signs to knock it on the head. At least for now!

Re: Bulging temple arteries
I don't need to see a doctor! I know why it's there... some people get away with it looking not too bad depending on your artery path/shape bulge and some are more vascular than others, i don't get away with it!! It looks ghastly on my right temple. Just like some baldy blokes suit having no hair and some look hideous!

Re balding, agree, seldom looks good, but the alternative is also soso.
To be honoust, never seen a guy and thought, man look at those temples......
Re: Bulging temple arteries
Now i am aware of it i noticed fairly quickly that lots of other men have them showing. But yeah, i do not think much when i see other men with them and kinda see it as the norm. Just never paid attention to that before mine became apparent, and it bothers me personally, just the right one really! The left artery is different & smaller shape and does not bulge much! They are gone right now and i feel great about that. But i know once i undergo more strenuous exercise they will pop out again, meh.hjs wrote:That must be it, I am more or less beyond that age.Anth_F wrote:I don't need to see a doctor! Re: Bulging temple arteries
FWIW I've been bald for at least 15 years. In the ideal world I'd have a good head of hair but TBH I'm not overly bothered...didn't stop me dating LOADS of girls in 2016 before I found a good 'un.Anth_F wrote:I don't need to see a doctor! Unless something is OVERLY distinctive, if you don't let something be an issue, it won't!

Like i previously said, some suit it, some don't, simples. Good example would be Jason Statham! He suits the balding look and i wouldn't kick his missus outta bed either.Gammmmo wrote:FWIW I've been bald for at least 15 years. If you followed my earlier comments you will see It only becomes an issue if i do a strenuous workout. Need moar couch time tbh.
Btw define loadz of girls? And show pics or it didn't happen

Temporary then...result! (should it even bother you at all anyway)Anth_F wrote:If you followed my earlier comments you will see It only becomes an issue if i do a strenuous workout. Need moar couch time tbh.
Have you seen George Hincapie's wife?Anth_F wrote:This is NOT an attractive look to the ladies, especially

Re: Bulging temple arteries
It's not temporary when it takes 3 days to go down/away, and by that time i'm working out again, so the problem remains permanent. YES, it does bother me. Seem to be repeating myself all over againGammmmo wrote:Exactly.Anth_F wrote:Like i previously said, some suit it, some don't, simples. Good example would be Jason Statham! I know someone who might want an erg second-hand if this and neighbours mean it's not a go-er...seriously.Anth_F wrote:It's not temporary when it takes 3 days to go down/away, and by that time i'm working out again, so the problem remains permanent.
